The hotel is not in good condition. Elevator was not working, pool was closed, hot tub was closed, cafe was closed, room was dirty, phones were not in working order, and I found I had no towels when I used the shower. Staff seemed overwhelmed. Would not recommend or stay there again.
Friendly staff and our room was great. Just needed a refrigerator in our room. Pool & hot tub was great! Boyfriend and I were very happy & comfortable!
Internet and television were inconsistent. Room and facilities were otherwise comfortable and clean, and despite being in sight of a highway, the room was pleasantly quiet.
The staff were amazing the property really needs to be upgrated. I felt like it was a time warp. Just really old everything. The hot tub was green and smelled funny
It was pretty quiet there. I had kids with me and I was worried they would be too loud and disruptive but when the door was closed, I couldn’t hear them in the hall.
My room was very run down. The curtains were shredded! I also had ants in my room. Pool was not heated. Hot tub was broken. TV was smaller than my computer screen at work. No fridge or microwave. It was quiet except for the huge group of people in the pool on Saturday. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping. Free parking.

Marriot Property? Hmmmmm.
Front desk staff were super friendly and efficient. Our room, not so great, and this was the same experience for 2 other couples that we travelled with. Our room had threadbare carpet, broken lampshades, and the stuffing was coming out of the couch. The balcony door needed a good Windex. We had an early flight, so I understand no breakfast, but it wouldn’t hurt to have coffee available in the lobby at least. In my opinion, Courtyard By Marriot is a decent brand, and we have stayed them in different areas, but in Flint, they are not living up to the name. Please do better….again, staff was excellent.

Expedia had a glitch so the hotel did not have a card number on file when we got here. They had to call Expedia to get it and took a half hour. Either that or we had to pay double and try to get our money back from Expedia. The elevator broke while we were at the hotel. The shower did not want to drain. But the customer service rep Ashley was the best!!
Terrible! At checkin the office had five employees there and couldnt find our reservation for several minutes. Once we got to our rooms(adjoining), we see that there is no refrigerator, no Microwave and the bed sheets didnt fit. The chair in the room was filthy as well as the desk. The bed was way to soft(squishy). The pool and hottub were both closed. The front desk manager(Megan) and staff all kept saying they were getting a fridge and microwave for us but only recieved them the last night of five nights. Very disappointed in the entire visit.
Complete Disaster - Stay Away
Got double-charged. Despite paying through Expedia they charged my wife's credit card the whole week stay again. Staff first said "yeah we see it, sorry that receptionist was new and she made a mistake. it'll reverse automatically." Later claimed they couldn't see any charge. After hours of arguing with 2 mangers across our week stay there, the bank literally confirmed the charge to the manager - and he STILL denied it. And then asked me dispute it myself. I did. Have to wait 60-day for a decision on my money and might not be refunded.
But wait, there's more:
Pull-out bed was disgusting - covered in stains. Construction everywhere all week - pool torn apart, gym wrapped in plastic, outdoor areas covered in debris. Couldn't use any amenities we paid for.
But to be fair: the room (other than the pull-out) itself was fairly clean as well as the bathroom, and the lobby wasn't bad.
TLDR: Pros: Clean bathroom, decent lobby Cons: Double-charged me, confirmed the mistake, then denied it. and kept lying about it, disgusting bed, construction blocking all amenities, terrible customer service
Lady at desk in day time was useless I'm handicap in wheelchair and nighttime service desk woman Ashley was incredibly but day lady was no help and rude not sure if she hates white people or handicap people Ashley helped me over and above other woman was no help I have a really hard time just getting there let alone getting food or anything else but this woman was awful not sure about GM she wasn't much better but they do not help handicap p6at all unless your lucky enough to arrive when Ashley at desk Nts in my room 2nd time I stayed there for convenience and pool and hot tub down both times so take it how u want but thank you Ashley and I hope I never see other daytime woman in service industry

I don't like being lied to
The place was clean with a very friendly staff. However, when I walked in, I could smell mildew. I don't smell well due to a medical condition so when I smell something it is usually overwhelming already. The room was worse than the lobby. We chose this hotel because of the pool/hot tub. We called ahead the night before and asked if they were operational & were told it was. On arrival I asked where they were and the clerk told me they were not working, that he was a new employee and they weren't working when he started. He did offer that we could go to the Residence Inn on the other end of the street & use theirs. It was 23 degrees outside!! The point of a hot tub is to relieve aches & pains, not shock your system!!!! He truly felt bad but was powerless to help us. When I went to the elevator to go back down & talk with the clerk, there was a gentleman at the ice machine. He pushed the button and one lone ice cube came rushing out. When the doors opened I told him I would let the clerk know. When I told him, he rolled his eyes and sighed, saying under his breath, "really? what have I gotten myself into?". He then told me he would send someone up to look at it.
With all this going on, minus the 9-10 charlie horses, we slept well. The pillows were perfect for a good night's sleep, and the blankets weren't too light or heavy. Bed comfort was okay, but that's a personal preference.

The lobby and staff were friendly and accommodating, even though I had booked last minute. The rooms and furniture were outdated and could use a remodel (I believe this is underway). I would recommend this place for a last minute booking. Looking forward to returning after the construction is completed.
We lost power so chose this hotel for two nights. When we arrived to our room we had no phone, refrigerator or microwave. Our heat did not work. When asking the front desk attendants, they were not very helpful or kind. We were told that those extras were not guaranteed with the room. Not even a phone apparently to be able to call the front desk for assistance. It served its purpose for having electricity and a place to sleep, but that was about it. I will have to say the pool was nice, but there were waaaayyyyy too many products in the hot tub to enjoy it without it burning your eyes. Would not visit in the the future.
