Beatrice is a charming and elegant apartment located on the 2nd floor of a beautifully restored 14th-century building in the heart of Florence, in the Santa Croce area.
No lift/elevator: access requires climbing 49 steps.

The apartment is 70 sqm, arranged over two levels, and accommodates up to 3 guests. Recently renovated with great attention to detail, it features a refined white Provençal style, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere.

On the first level, you’ll find a spacious living room with a single sofa bed, a large dining area with table, and a compact yet fully equipped kitchen with traditional oven, fridge, freezer and coffee machine.

A charming spiral staircase leads to the upper floor, where the double bedroom (160 cm bed) is located. The bedroom is tastefully furnished in Provençal style and includes a wardrobe, TV and seating area. Nearby is the bathroom, decorated with pearl-toned mosaic walls and fitted with a modern shower cabin.

The location is a major highlight: shops, cafés and restaurants are just outside the door, and Florence’s main landmarks — including the Duomo, Bargello Museum and Santa Croce — are all within easy walking distance.

The apartment is located on via delle Seggiole, a wonderful cobblestone street, which forms part of the Santa Croce district on the eastern edge of Florence’s historic city centre. The area takes its name from one of the city’s most remarkable churches. The Santa Croce neighbourhood provides a rare glimpse of “old” Florence with lively markets and tiny leather and artisan workshops, including the flea market (Mercato delle Pulci) at Piazza dei Ciompi. The Mercato St. Ambrogio, the city’s second main food market after the Mercato San Lorenzo, is within close walking distance too.
Furthermore, the area is just a stone’s throw from some of the city’s main cultural attractions such as the Bargello Palace, which houses one of Italy’s most important museums, the Casa Buonarroti, (the former home of Michelangelo), Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Ponte Vecchio, as well as the magnificent Santa Croce church and museum.
You will also enjoy the largest selection of boutique shops, bars, and traditional restaurants and pizzerias within the city. Three of the finest and most expensive restaurants, Cibreo, Pinchiorri, and Alle Murate are located nearby. There is also a good choice of mid-priced dining options.

Florence city centre is a ZTL zone which means a “limited traffic zone” and therefore special rules apply to when you can enter this area. This particular apartment is in fact located within the ZTL zone so this means that if you are thinking of coming to Florence by car and wish to drive around and park, then you will need to pay special attention to the road signs, CCTV cameras and access cameras (they will show either a red/green light) in order to avoid receiving fines. Guests who need to travel within the ZTL zone by car to reach their apartment are advised to contact a private garage. Thanks to the private garage you will obtain a temporary access permit. Upon arrival at the garage, guests must specify they need access for the ZTL and the garage will then note the vehicle’s number plate and forward it to the appropriate police headquarters.

Great location, but can be noisy

The place is really great but a few things to consider... Location is perfect, great places near by, Bed is comfortable and place was clean, Kitchen is tiny, but I ate out so it wasn't a problem, Shower is tiny, TINY, and water flow is not great, so showers were just ok at best. But here is the biggest thing, the bar next door and just outside the bedroom window (yes, really) has a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights from 11pm to 3am, and it's LOUD - you need ear plugs to sleep! For me one night it was awesome because that bar, Locale, is one of the best in the WORLD (look it up) it's amazing and I was there enjoying the night, perfect!! so if you're in the bar this is no problem... the next night I came home from dinner late and had to listen to the DJ like he was in my room until 3AM, that sucked.... you've been warned!!
