Country Cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Floyd County

Escape to the mountains as you enjoy your vacation back in the country! This is truly a hidden treasure found in a rural community.

This vacation home of over 1700 sq. ft. was built in the 1970's by family and friends and is located on our family farm. Once arriving you will walk up seven steps to enter the house. After entering the home, you will see a fireplace made with rocks we collected from the creek right in front of the house. The fireplace has a wood burning stove insert. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and two upstairs.

The kitchen has an electric stove, dishwasher, side by side refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, crock pot, electric skillet, and stocked with standard utensils. While sitting at the dining table you will have a nice view through the bay window of one of the walk bridges over the creek.

The house has natural wood finishings and decorated with some of our family antiques. There are board games for entertainment. There is a TCL TV with Roku along with some DVD's. A/C is provided by window units.

Relax as you sit on one of the foot bridges that cross over the small creek to the house. You can also enjoy views of the creek and landscape gardens as you sit on one of the decks. The outside Gas Grill is a great way for evening cooking and entertainment. There is nothing any better than sitting by the creek and toasting marshmallows in the fire pit!

The property is perfect for your dog to play (additional fee for pets of $85 will apply with a 2 pet limit). In looking out at the rolling property fields you may see deer, turkey, squirrel, racoons, and other wildlife.

We are pleased to offer generl supplies in the house for starters to include paper towels, napkins, dishwasher detergent, dishwasher tabs, dish sponge, general purpose cleaner, coffee, soap, shampoo, and tolet paper. If you need to restock or need additional supplies may purchase them at our local General Dollar or grocery in Floyd.

Private Paradise nestled in the mountains

It was a perfect arrival in Virginia. We needed a quiet place to rest and recover after a cross county move and this did not disappoint. Adorable Creek-Side Cabin in Floyd

This was such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed sipping our coffee by the creek in the morning. The cabin was clean, spacious, and cozy. Our doggo loved the setup as well. Neta stopped by to introduce herself and made sure we had what we needed and if there were any questions. We'd definitely come back!

I can’t say enough about this enchanting cabin in the woods. It’s spotless, charming, has a babbling brook, is well organized and well stocked. The owner is responsive and thoughtful. The surrounding are perfectly maintained and lots of natural beauty. Lovely place, highly recommend!

The Country Cabin was exactly as described and super clean. We had everything we needed for our stay this weekend. The host was very responsive, attentive, and accommodating. We brought our own meals and had everything we needed to prepare them. Highly recommend this place for any family looking for a clean, comfortable, and quiet stay near Blacksburg.

Cute place out in the country

Loved this cute little place and so did my teenage children. It’s the perfect getaway for a quiet peaceful stay away from the hustle and bustle. I only have one suggestion, maybe look into a couch in the sitting area so a family can hang out together. Other than that we truly loved this place.

My Only Regret Is We Couldn’t Stay Longer!

We needed somewhere to stay for one night as we attended to some business in the area. This rental looked clean and inviting and fit our needs nicely, so we booked. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Neta, who was a friendly and warm person, and her personality shines through in the decor and attention to detail in the rental! The landscaping around the home and creek was beautiful and immaculate! The home itself exudes a sense of warmth and comfort, with lovely antiques and country touches, and was extremely clean and welcoming. If you are looking for somewhere off the beaten path to disconnect from the world, and reconnect with loved ones, this is an excellent choice! We will definitely be making a return trip!

Fantastic Getaway

We visited for Virginia Tech graduation ceremonies - and this was a perfect getaway location. Only 40 minutes from campus but a very remote, private, and beautiful location.
