Adorable Classic 2 BR Cottage~ Cooper Cottage

One of Folly's Best! Cooper Cottage is a 2 bedroom 1 bath, classic Folly Beach cottage. You are sure to enjoy the recently updated look! Relax on the screened-in front porch and pick fresh fruit off the orange tree or enjoy the back porch with a view of the beautiful greenery and cute path that leads to the shared laundry room and private outdoor shower. The first bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, and the second bedroom has a set of twin bunk beds. Amenities include cable tv, free Wi-Fi, an efficiency kitchen, shared propane grill, and access to beach chairs/carts. And it's dog friendly! Located in a quiet residential area, Cooper Cottage is a leisurely two minute stroll to the beach and only six short blocks to Center Street. This property can be rented alone or with its sister properties: Sea Glass Cottage and 615 East Erie. These three properties combined make up Family Houses.

Cooper Cottage allows up to 2 well-behaved, house-broken, flea-treated dogs with approval. Please include the breed and size of your dog when you inquire. Grill available for guest use. Please note: charcoal/propane and cleaning of grill is the responsibility of the guest.

Folly Staycation

Cute cottage near the beach and not far from the downtown Folly area! Had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, water pressure was good, outdoor shower handy, dog park nearby and the AC worked great! Thank you!

Beach Dog Getaway

The property was perfect for us. Clean, convenient, quiet and close to walks on the beach and restaurants. Staff at Best Rentals could not have been nicer. A visit with dog treats and a help with a business issue was taken care of with efficiency and a smile. Highly recommend a stay on Folly with Best Rentals.

Great little cottage short walk to beach!

The cottage was everything we needed. It was clean and close to the beach making our stay very pleasant. The only thing is that the bed felt like a full (I believe queen is on the listing) but it was still fine.

Spring break

We really enjoyed our stay. Very quiet part of Folly. We had excellent communication with the company who handles the rentals. We left our beach chairs at home b/c the listing implied there were some available there were no beach chairs. No big deal we bought some. I was happy to be able to take my 14 lb dog but was surprised that I had to take her for a walk at night before bed due to the signs saying no peeing or pooping allowed on grass. We would never leave dog poop in the yard, and would hope other dog parents would know not to do that when someone is generous enough to let you stay with your pet in their home. We would go back and stay there. We enjoyed that it was a short walk to the beach and could literally walk to town if we wanted to..

Cute cottage

We enjoyed staying at this rustic tiny cottage. It was well maintained and the grounds and amenities were nice. We loved the screen porch and could hear the waves with the windows open. Also there was laundry and an ice machine on the beautiful grounds. Really nice. Would stay here again.

Perfect beach cottage

Such a cute, little beach cottage! It’s an easy walk to the beach or Center St. My two 12-year old boys loved the bunk room and I loved the screened in front porch. I can see coming back and renting the adjacent cottages with some other families.

Great Rental

Cooper Cottage is a very nice place to stay in Folly Beach. Great location close to the beach on a quiet street and still close to the commercial area. Kids and dog park close by too.

Cooper Cottage

This was our first (true) vacation and my first ever Vrbo experience. I was so pleased with the cottage. I wanted something simple but it was lovely. Enjoyed drinking coffee on the porch. The booking was easy and if I ever return to SC I will want to book this cottage again.

The perfect cottage!

This cottage was better in real life than the photos. There were more than enough household supplies, super cozy — exactly what you want when you think of a beach cottage. From the decor to the beautiful landscaping and ease of walking to the beach, we hope to make our stay here and our visit to Folly Beach an annual Labor Day trip.

Just Loved the Property

Seamless, clean, cute, modest, fun, parking, ez walk to the beach and close enough (15-20 min) walk to downtown. This is a hidden gem In my opinion!

Great location, loved the screened in front porch.

The only negative would be the size of the bed in the main bedroom. If you could somehow fit atleast a queen size it would make the stay much more comfortable.

The property was very clean and had nice features. I loved the screened in porch, but the cottage was smaller than I anticipated and further from the beach than I really wanted. Overall, I enjoyed the visit.

Lots of potential

This cottage is super cute and has so much potential. But...it is not dog friendly. There is no yard to walk your dog, there is no outside lighting to walk your dog, the front porch was grossly dirty, and the screen was coming off thus making it unsafe to let my dog out there unsupervised. If you charge extra for a dog, at least ensure that the rental actually is set up to welcome a dog and not full of signs outside that specifically tell you not to let your dog pee or poop in the yard. The only option was to take it on the street and let it pee or poop on someone else's yard... The cleanliness of the cottage was not great - cobwebs to the side of the bathroom sink, the pans we used were dirty and had to be washed before use, the front porch and its furniture were filthy, the shower had mold all around the edges, and the walls of the bathroom had streaks of something next to the sink. The sofa in the living room was covered in stains. I would also suggest that if you advertise a gas grill, you should include a gas bottle or state up front that you must bring your own. Most vacationers don't travel with a propane bottle in their trunk. This rendered the grill unusable. This really is a charming cottage, it was just disappointing in light of it being pet friendly and not super clean. A coat of paint, a deep clean and more attention to detail, along with a more dog friendly situation would have made it a great experience for us.

Absolutely Perfect

We so enjoyed the beach cottage. It was perfect for our visit. Great location, quite and short walk to the beach! We enjoyed the screen porch in the afternoons. Definitely will be back

Nice stay at Folly Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Cooper Cottage! The property is charming, clean and comfortable. Our college-age daughters spent part of the week with us and our dog was with us. We had a great time— very relaxing and the beach is beautiful! Easy access to Charleston too. Hope to return to Folly soon.

This little cottage could be so much, but it just isn’t! The best thing in the cottage is the mattresses. The kitchen is also well supplied. The other positive was the availability of a washer and dryer! Aside from that, I think they were going for Shabby-chic, but it was more shabby. All the hanging curtains were very sheer and could be seen thru except the front bedroom. Even the bathroom was sheer, made me feel uncomfortable that everyone could see inside of the cabin! I had to hang beach towels all over the sheers to try and get some privacy! The comfy looking chairs in the pictures were not in the cabin. The living room furniture needs to greatly be replaced. The living room fan doesn’t work. The only tv was in the living room but is attached to the wall, and cannot be moved around at all! It’s literally flat to the wall so only one person can actually see the television. The outside looks as described and is very cute and they allow dogs but have signs posted to not let them pee or poop on the yards!
