We did Oceanfront and our view was excellent. We were right by the pier so we had some great photo ops. You couldn't take your own alcohol to pools or on the beach but yiu can buy from the bars there, and we didn't like that. The in house coffee shop was great, and the hotel supplied beach towels and chairs.

Ocean view was nice. Pool and pool bar was good. Pinky’s is a restaurant with an ocean view. It’s pet friendly. Nice wide beach. Staff post ocean conditions daily including rip current risk. Staff was friendly and helpful. Maid service not so good.

Had a great stay at Tides Folly Beach. The location is hard to beat—right on the beach and within walking distance of everything Folly Beach has to offer. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Everything was clean, comfortable, and made for an easy beach getaway. Being able to walk straight out to the ocean and then enjoy the restaurants and bars nearby was a huge plus. I would definitely stay at Tides again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay on Folly Beach.

If you’re looking for a true beach experience, the Tides has it all! Beautifully maintained, very friendly staff and a gorgeous view of the ocean. Pinky’s is a great addition and has delicious beachy drinks. Having parking at the hotel was clutch. The town is very walkable and no need to drive. Would definitely consider staying at the Tides again soon!

Stay was wonderful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downside was sliding door to balcony. Stuck really bad, in fact if you went out and closed it, it wouldn't open. Glad my daughter was in the room.

The hotel is oceanfront and steps from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The pool is great, Dylan the bartender, was amazing! Frozen drinks and pool atmosphere was wonderful. Food at the hotel was average, so many better options steps away. Room was clean but there was no ice in any machine, anywhere! Front desk check-in staff (didn't get her name) was so rude and unhelpful, but everyone else was delightful and the area is lively and friendly!

We had a good experience overall with very friendly helpful staff. We had a nice view of the beach and enjoyed the pool and view from the pool and from Pinky’s. We loved Folly overall and exploring the island by foot and not having to drive anywhere. Food was so good at Lost Dog (breakfast) & Rita’s (Dinner & Breakfast) We had some issues with not having a smoke detector at first in our room and then the smoke detector going off but think that was due to humidity in the room from shower and beach. The room was clean overall but the curtains did have mold on the bottoms of them and need to be replaced.

I liked the coffee shop. It made for a convenient breakfast spot. The pool was nice, and a good temperature. The proximity of the pool and beach access were big selling points for me. I also liked the fact that I could park the car for the week. The restaurants and shops within walking distance made it a relaxing, laidback vacation experience. The staff was all very polite and helpful.

Great hotel. Loved the access and location to the beach. Pool was a bit dirty. Loved the use of beach chairs. But note: there is a company renting them also and it is not clear that those are not from the hotel. Also hotel chairs are not the nicest. Plan to go and stay again soon.

We enjoyed our time at the Tides. The proximity to the beach and the many eating places close by, you hardly had to leave Folly. It is also close to downtown Charleston ( about 25 minutes). Highly recommend and we will be back!
