"This a lovely friendly hotel just outside of St Paul de Vence. There are many things to recommend it, especially the friendly and helpful team. However, you should consider it is outside of the town and although walkable (less than 3km) you are walking on roads which we did not feel comfortable to do after dark. We also went in September and discovered that the hotel restaurant was closed so the only way to have an evening meal was to leave the hotel and taxi's are not plentiful here. "

"The hotel is first rate. We had balcony rooms on the second floor and they were large (almost suites) with beautiful bathrooms. The hotel was still very lush even in mid-October. The restaurant is the real gem of the property. It firmly deserves it's one Michelin star. We did have dinner there one night and though expensive it was one of the 3 best meals I have ever eaten. "We stayed at La Bastide Gourmande with my family for 4 nights. The new owners Antoine and Ilham have some an amazing job renovating and upgrading the hotel. They were super helpful and friendly. We will for sure return here with the family, and hopefully sometimes also only the adults, as the hotel is also a nice romantic little hideout. "

"Easy to make the reservation online and get a pretty reasonable price for a clean room, with a comfy bed and hot water. Just 1 bottle of water on day 1 and no mini bar. The halls had a really bad odor. There was a small wedding so we had no option to eat in the Hotel’s restaurant. We had to call a taxi to take us out to some restaurant for dinner. "
