There are nearly 30 steps to enter the building. I booked last minute not knowing it would be difficult to enter the building to receive the key. I was lucky the housekeeper was there to help me. Phone number listed on Expedia had no service (taxi driver was trying to call for me). No regular reception hours. Room was clean, but very basic. Not soundproof as listed - could hear TVs from other rooms, and all coming and going (but it was not a problem). Conveniently located. Pool on rooftop is a large hot tub with cold water. Better to enjoy the beach.

We kept our high spirits

The location of the hotel is quite near to perfect. The young lad who is the manager/ owner of the hotel is very nice to talk to. An nice littel hotel ... unless the maid gets sick. Then you will not find anybody in the morning in the hotel, and you won't get any breakfast (which is - if served - in fact better than in other hotels in Italy). Amazing. But it has really happeneed to us. He could not convince us he does not still believe, that getting up early, room-making and serving is for women only. The fight against the smell of mildew has been given up. The remains of aromatic candles, sticks, and oil were placed in the staircase ...let alone the fight on mldew itself. Otherwise the concept of the hotel is convincing to us.

Peccato per la stanza molto piccola

Ottima posizione sia per la vicinanza al porto che al centro città. Ottime pulizie. Buona colazione, anche se viene effettuata su un terrazzino veramente piccolo. Purtroppo la stanza dell'ultimo piano a noi assegnata era molto claustrofobica in quanto molto piccola, con letti singoli attaccati al muro, con un solo finestrino da circa 50x50 apribile solo a vasistas. Buono il bagno. Ottimo il rapporto con il personale. Pertanto, a causa della struttura della camera, il rapporto qualità prezzo non ha soddisfatto le nostre aspettative.

New, modern and very clean Hotel with great breakfast and a rooftop terrace with a nice view. It is situated right in the center of Forio, just 5 minutes walk from the port and the bus station, so it is easy to reach and to travel all around the Island. There are supermarkets, restaurants and shops very close by. Umberto the owner is extremely friendly and helping wherever he can. I really enjoyed my stay at White 1903!
