"This is a lovely place to stay and the host was gracious and went out of his way to help in every way possible. I arrived on my bicycle and was able to put it into the secure garden area onto which the entrance of the property opened. There is a nice seating area in the open fronted barn, which is perfect for a quiet drink. The room was terrific. Spacious, immaculate and with everything I needed. "We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident...
