East Lodge - a rural retreat that sleeps 6 guests
East Lodge is brand new to market after a beautiful full renovation. The property is filled with charm and character and offers a fantastic space.
The large open kitchen/ dining area is perfect for entertaining while cooking evening meals and has a comfortable seating area included. You will be lucky enough to receive fresh bread, milk and eggs on your arrival.
The lounge has an extremely warm feel with a fantastic log burning stove surrounded by a stunning wooden fireplace. The windows of the lounge are south facing, keeping the room light and fresh all day round. The comfortable sofa can also be used as an additional double sofa-bed.
Upstairs, the property has two well sized bedrooms, again fully refurbished with cosy carpets and light colours throughout. Both bedrooms offer double sized beds with a TV in each and ample hanging and wardrobe space. The upstairs bathroom is newly fitted with a spacious bath/shower. Warm, soft towels, shampoo, shower gel and conditioner will be provided by your lovely host. There is also an additional bathroom/shower room located downstairs.
As well as the log burning stove, there is also central heating throughout controlled easily by the NEST feature. Wifi is fast and available in every room within the property. You will find everything you need for your stay in this wonderful house. Washer, dryer, hairdryer, hoover and full kitchen amenities, all brand new. There is a lockable outdoor shed, to allow for safe storage of bikes or rods as well as an extensive garden area, great for a children in the Summer months!
Due to the location of this property, we would advise having a car for the duration of your stay. For evenings out in the local area, there are plenty of local taxi companies we would be happy to advise.
Within the immediate area you will find a Tesco (located just over a mile away), while still having the escape of being located next to stunning fields and countryside. The Forres town centre has an array of local butchers, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Culbin Forest is just 10 minutes drive, offering beautiful beach walks and biking trails.
Landmark adventure park is less than 45 mins away, a great day out for families and children and we are lucky enough to be next door to the stunning Brodie Castle and Hardmuir farm shop, a great stop for picking local raspberries and strawberries and stocking up on other fresh produce. The River Spey and Findhorn are so close by, that this property would provide a fantastic base after daily sessions on the riverbanks. Inverness is just a short 30 minute drive from this property and even less time to the Dalcross Airport!
We can't wait to welcome you to this stunning property! Julie, your host on the ground will be available if needed. Guests will have complete private access to the whole of the house. There is a back and front door as well as a large garden with Garage area for storing outdoor equipment. Parking is also available right outside the front door!
