  • Escape to our tropical family retreat in Fort Walton Beach! A block from a boat launch and close to beaches, military bases, Destin, and Navarre. Enjoy a stocked kitchen, cozy patio with grill, firepit, yard games, and beach gear. We live separately downstairs and love adding a personal touch while respecting your privacy. We are happy to offer tips or a friendly hello if desired. Please SEND US A MESSAGE! We’d love to help make your stay unforgettable!

    Fort Walton Beach is waiting for you at this marvelous 4-bedroom house. With 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, room with a bunk bed (Queen on bottom and double on top) with a twin trundle underneath, there's plenty of space for all guests. The house features 2 bathrooms with a bathtub, shower, and hair dryer. Enjoy the iron, hair dryer, AC, heating, and WiFi amenities provided. I hate that one thing can ruin a trip, but it is important for renters to know that THERE IS NO LAUNDRY. Nowhere on the listing, nor in the reviews when I rented said a single thing about this. The result? 10 people going to the beach every day necessitates going to the laundromat at least twice a week. And if you have an accident, you're going to have to go again. That means we went 4 times and it ate up hours of 4 different days. We had to schedule our activities around getting our laundry done. I was worried that we would have to go because somebody messed their sheets. When it rained on the towels drying outside, we had wet towels.Other than this, we appreciated these aspects of the house:- well appointed kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook several meals a day, including a grill outside- the beds and rooms are comfortable and the décor is pleasant- the location was convenient for us - spacious private backyard, pleasant to enjoy coffee in the morningsOne other thing that I noticed that people may want to know is that the walls are very thin and the doors make a lot of noise when you open and close them. This may be important for people with small children or who are light sleepers at night.
