Rose Cottage get-away, Foxton Beach
This is your get-away bach. You can get away from the bustle of your life, your stressful jobs and the noise. It's pretty darn quiet here. And at night the sky is dark so the stars shine. You can also get to experience the extra warmth and sunshine Foxton Beach has to offer. In winter you can snuggle under the colourful quilts, snooze in the comfy beds, and relish the heat from heaters in every room. In summer you can sit out on the veranda (in the shade, and out of the prevailing wind) to watch the world go by. Deck chairs are stored in the garage.
Walk to the beach in five minutes or drive in one. It's a fabulous wide beach at low tide for short and long walks; awesome for swimming and boogie boarding when the surf patrol is out; and sliding down sand dunes when the water isn't warm enough for you.
A full kitchen so you can cook for yourself if you want, a bread-maker to bake that fresh loaf for the morning, or just walk 50 metres to the Ocean Beach Eatery for whatever you fancy. A garage full of toys for the adults and kids (bikes (two adult, two children - 5/6 years and 7/8 years) and boogie boards, games), and reading books, magazines for young and old to while-away the hours. For infants there is a portacot (and sheets/blankets).
Sit out on the verandah to take in the views of the park and swings across the road. Go tadpoling or duck feeding; BMXing or cycle-skills riding; forest or beach walking; tennis, skate-boarding or scooting: All less than five minutes walk away. There is no TV but there is free WIFI. There is good cellphone coverage in Foxton Beach.
Special conditions: Back section is fully fenced. Smoking outside only please. Pets on request. Well set up for couples and families alike. Just to be clear, there is no TV. No long term rentals, prices as indicated. There is a security camera facing to the front section of the property.
It has a very comfortable layout for two adults and two-three children; or four adults. It is not suitable for five adults.
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$45.00 per stay); All linen and towels included.

Our return stay was just as awesome as the first. Such a cosy warm cottage with every convenience you want for a relaxing stay. We will come again soon
A well equipped , cosy Bach - close to amenities and beach.
Had fun exploring the area- more to it than meets the eye.
Great info from hosts.
Hope to return in the summer.
Great location set up high overlooking a park. Short walk to a corner Cafe and if theyre closed for the early bird walkers, there's another coffee shop open at the top of the road on the way to the sea.
Well recommend and will be staying again next time visit from Central Queensland
Comfortable property and well equipped. Comfortable beds. We were a bit freaked out as we did not know that google was listening in on our conversations until I jokingly stated "hey google" to my son who was looking stuff up on his mobile phone and the box started to talk back to me. It probably tells you more about my generation and I am sure that younger people expect this feature now - and it was a small thing that we could temporarily disconnect to ensure our privacy. That aside, a very nice property to stay in with great hosts.
A clean, comfortable cosy bach. Excellent hot water, lots of heaters. Entry was very easy with a touch pad. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots, utensils etc and easy to use. Washing machine was large and quiet. Beach and estuary are an easy walk. Bach is close to children’s play area and BMX track. I would highly recommend for a family or two couples. It was great.
The township lovely safe place to stay with excellent walking and cycling pathways free from worry of light traffic. Well equipped home ,warn, good comfortable beds with all mod cons care needed in shower as can be slippery. No tv but in this age is a blessing and one has to go back to the art of reading and or communicating with loved ones.
The bach was clean and comfortable and as advertised. We enjoyed some photography in the dunes and got some beautiful sunset shots on the beach. I would highly recommend the bach and Foxton Beach for a break. My only small suggestion would be another clipboard for the front bedroom to block the heater led which is bright when trying to sleep. Just a little thing but it would make a difference.
This gorgeous little cottage was perfect in every way.
It ticked all the boxes for my sister and me.
It was immaculately clean, warm and comfortable and was in a quiet area close to the beach.
There was even a small café close by that makes great coffee and a little restaurant just a few doors away that opens in the evenings.
I would like to thank our host Rob for his great communication. I tried to email him back but it proved too difficult.
I can't wait to return !!
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at Foxton Beach, the house exceeded our expectations, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds altogether a great little cottage. The big plus was so close to the beach and OBE Cafe.
