"We spent a wonderful 5 nights here to explore the cognac region. The staff are fantastic, the gardens beautiful, and the food absolutely superb. They have a large selection of cognacs to taste too. Even though the mattress was a little too firm for our liking, we still slept well. A wonderful place to stay and would love to return. "

"This is a very centrally located hotel that was ideal for visiting Cognac. The room we had was spacious, clean and had a fully accessible bathroom that would be nice if you had mobility issues. "Right across the river from the Musée de la Bande Dessinée! Requires a bit of an uphill hike to get to the center of town but there are also easy nearby bus stops to take you there. Service was fantastic, breakfast was tasty and the hotel is pretty neat. No AC though. "

"This is our second time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian. The first time was so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great.

"The hotel was converted from an old distillery. Everything looks and feels ultra modern; if you like ultra modern, then it's good. Because of the conversion, things seem spread out. It took us a little effort to find the restaurants. The restaurant has a Michelin star and is good. The brasserie is great. Also, plenty of parking space. "
