Custom Built Waterfront Cottage

custom built 3.5 bed/1 bath Cape on picturesque Webb Pond in Eastbrook. This cottage is located on 5 private acres and has direct water access. Conveniently located to nearby major shopping/recreational areas of Ellsworth/Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park. The 40 ft. deck allows for great BBQs and relaxing. Skylights throughout the house allow the sun to shine through and an elevated cat walk in the main living room allow for a birdseye view of the pond. This house is perfect for families with its full kitchen and dining area.

Perfect for fishing and relaxing

Beautiful very well kept cabin with private beach and everything needed for a peaceful stay and fishing. Loved waking up to the singing of the brown thrush and hermit thrush. Gorgeous sunsets on the beach next to the fire to top off the day. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great Taste of Maine

A great getaway on a quiet lake. The house had all the amenities desired and was well stocked. Loons, Eagles, large bass, calm waters, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our family of 7 enjoyed it thoroughly.

Great spot

We had a great week on Webb Pond, fishing was great, the camp is off the beaten path but close to Ellsworth and Acadia is about 1 hr away. Very peaceful spot.

Wonderful vacation

The cabin was a large part of our relaxing vacation. It was located between Bangor and Acadia and it was clean and had plenty of room for the 3 of us with our 2 small dogs. I would recommend it for anyone interested in the beauty of Maine. Plenty to do or not. The cabin was stocked and was a wonderful peaceful location with a lake to use or just enjoy the view from the deck. House owner was receptive and returned messages quickly.

Family fun!

We had a wonderful week on Web pond! The camp was perfect for our family of 7. Very clean and roomy with everything we needed. The ice machine and water cooler were a bonus! The beach was perfect especially for our grandkids with a shallow walk into the water that gradually got deeper which was important for us with little ones! Fishing was great and my grandson even caught a large mouth bass off the dock!! The owners were awesome and got back with any questions the same day! They also employ a wonderful cleaning crew! My daughter left behind her bathing suit and they mailed it to me a few days later! We would definitely stay here again😁

Perfect for our family

This rental came equipped with everything we could need, including kitchen basics. It is very tucked away from the road, providing a quiet retreat. We liked being far enough away from Bar Harbor that we could avoid heavy tourist activity, but close enough that we could scoot over to see Acadia a few times. The lake was a blast! We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing! The beds were also quite comfortable and perfect to end the day.

Beautiful Spot

What a special place! We shared the house with our family and everyone was comfortable and had an excellent time. Our son is a BIG fisherman (some would say he is an addict!) and he caught about 30-40 fish each day. Some were monster large mouth bass! The house had every single thing you could think of and more. We especially enjoyed the SUP board and hanging out at the water. It was so peaceful and lovely. We are hoping to be invited back next year. Thank you to the Welch family for sharing your amazing spot with us.

Loved this place! Perfect for families!

This place has everything! John and Rick were great. We loved the house. The kids bedroom was awesome. The adult bedroom looked out at the lake. We sat on the beach and paddled in canoes. We relaxed in the great room. It was the perfect place for our visit to Acadia and bar harbor. We did half day trips and still had a wonderful place to come home to! Thank you!

Webb lake cottage

The cottage was amazing. Everything we needed. The family had a wonderful time fishing and there was enough equipment for all of us to enjoy time out on the lake. A bit of a drive to Acadia National Park but worth it. Great views. The cottage provided a nice secluded relaxing vacation. Would recommend to anyone who likes the outdoors.

Beautiful setting, responsive hosts...top notch!

Communication with host was outstanding from the time we booked- 1yr out. Arrived to a beautiful lakefront home that exceeded our expectations. Had as much fun on Webb Pond (it's a really big pond!) as we did exploring Acadia. Lobster dinner provided by hosts rounded out a great week! Thanks John and Rick!

Amazing cabin!!

Our stay at Jimmy's Place was nothing short of amazing. The cabin was beautiful, scenery was gorgeous, very clean and well stocked. Rick was an amazing host who checked in on us to see how we were doing and see if we needed anything. The views of the water from the cabin were phenomenal and the whole family enjoyed kayaking and fishing! Thank you for such an awesome place to stay on our vacation! We will definitely be back!

Very beautiful

This cabin is very spacious and has everything you need. The lake is beautiful and we had a ton of fun having fires in the fire pit and canoeing. Ellsworth is far enough you feel secluded but close enough for day trips for groceries. WiFi worked better than ours does at home too. We had an AMAZING trip and ate the BEST lobsters we ever had!

Cabin on Webb Pond, Maine

We loved it! We have a family of five (two parents, two college aged kids, and a beloved canine). This rental was really perfect for us. The cabin was built by Rick, who lives down the road and was so responsive to anything we asked about or needed. His son, John, (who is also very responsive) was the person who we emailed back and forth with prior to arriving. I appreciated their focus and attention - and I especially appreciated the generous Maine lobster dinner on our last night there! (Best lobsters I’ve ever had!). Regarding the cabin: the entire interior is crafted from pine, which is quite beautiful. There is definitely a quintessential “woods of Maine” cabin decor, which I loved. There is also a sense that this is a family retreat, where games are played, kayaks and canoes are launched, swimming and fire pits are enjoyed, and fish are caught! By the way, while we were out on the water, my son saw a beaver, and we all saw a big turtle, loons, fish, and numerous other birds. We watched lovely sunsets over the water, roasted hotdogs and marshmallows... It was wonderful. Also, as much as we love being surrounded by nature, we had wi-fi. Not all of the places we researched did, but that was important to us. The property is about 40 minimum from Acadia, where we went hiking almost every day. If you can, see a sunrise on the summit of Cadillac Mountain. I was not a fan of getting up at 4:30, but I’m so thankful I did. It was spectacular! I wholeheartedly recommend Jimmy’s Place!

A great place to make family memories

Lovely home on the water with great amenities! Lots of living space, and places to hang out as a family. Very private and peaceful, and overall perfect for our group of seven. Rick was a wonderful host, took care of things right away, brought us freshly caught lobster, and provided great information for local activities. I would highly recommend this property to families of all ages looking to spend quality time together.

Quiet sanctuary

John's property is located in a blissfully quiet neighborhood overlooking a quiet lake (no power boats or loud neighbors!). John and his dad were superb hosts, and even treated us to a lobster dinner one night! The kitchen/dining area was a great place to gather for games and meals, and the deck at sunset was relaxing. The beds are a bit smaller than advertised (one was maybe closer to a full size?) and the lake is very reedy, so not great for swimming (but the dogs didn't mind!). Groceries and the town are about a 20-30 min drive and Acadia is about 45 to an hour away. Overall this is a great property for a group of friends or family looking for a hang out spot, or for a tranquil respite from noisier places.

Beautiful Private Beach

The home is roomy and cozy. Kitchen has everything you need to cook all meals. The private beach with firepit was our favorite part. John and his dad are a pleasure to deal with and get right back to you. The location was a little remote and had to drive atleast 30 min for anything. Went to Acadia, Cadillac Mountain and Sand Beach were breathtaking! If you are visiting for a first time, definitely drive the loop rd. In Acadia and drive up Cadillac mountain for the best 360 degree views I've ever seen!

Great vacation

I would give this home 10 stars if I could. It had more than one could ask for. Enough cookware, even for entertaining a family gathering of 13 (with matching dinnerware - thanks John) We had a great time just hanging out as a family admiring the great catches on the wall and even enjoying the photos of the camp being built. The kids room was perfect and gave them a place to get away. We enjoyed the lake and kayaking. My kids really liked trying to make the canoe go straight😄 Day trips were nice to acadia but it was nice to have "home" to return to. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful camp. See you soon.

Awesome vacational rental

We all enjoyed our stay at Jimmy's place. We spent our days exploring the area (i.e. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, etc.)., and each evening we looked forward to relaxing at our home away from home. The kids enjoyed fishing and/or boating on Webb Pond. We all enjoyed relaxing on the deck and listening to the loons. This was the most well-appointed and pet-friendly vacation home we have ever rented. We look forward to returning when our schedules permit. If you are headed to the area, book this cottage. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome stay

The Cabin on Webb Pond was awesome! We had plenty of room. The guys loved fishing on Webb Pond. We caught small mouth bass, large mouth bass..... John and his dad, Rick were very responsive and helpful! We appreciated Rick’s lobster offer....super kind! We hiked in Acadia several days. We hope to make it back to Maine soon!

Perfect getaway

The property was beautiful. We had everything we needed in the house and we felt at home! I would have been happy just staying in the house all week. But it was also a short drive from Acadia and Bar Harbor so we were able to enjoy those things as well during our stay. We loved it and hope to go back next year!
