Logistically superb - lots of walks, beach, at low tide you can go rock pooling etc. Bus stop right outside - which when the weather isn't great is a useful option to get around. There are small bus routes that loop certain areas - and you get a running commentary so worth jumping on.
Hotel is fabulous - views are amazing, food is delicious, and good value, room were exceptional (you must like the sound of the sea) and the staff are kind, informative and go above and beyond.

Great location, friendly staff, room were cleans comfortable. Would stay again
Loved my stay. The staff were accommodating to my needs during the stay. The dinner and the breakfast were amazing. The views were gorgeous and every aspect of my trip was great. Would definitely recommend staying here.
A beautiful hotel situated in a quaint, scenic town. The rooms all overlook the sea/coast and are fitted with everything youâd need.
We felt instantly relaxed at The Albion and would love to return.
We had a lovely weekend away at the Albion. We dined at The Rock, lovely food and staff were lovely. We had a sea view ground floor room, lovely decor and really comfy bed.
Room:
đ excellent cleanliness, dramatic scenic view, well designed and kept, bigger size than usual (specially the bathroom), unique features - The double showerâŚwonderful - the noise of the sea from inside the roomâŚvery relaxing.
đ no toothbrush and paste provided, which based on my experience, typically hotels do. Although the noise of the sea from inside the room (door closed) can be relaxing, it can also give you trouble to sleep if you are noise sensitive - note when we have been there was windy and sea wavy.
Location:
đ Amazingly positioned at the west end of the beach, along the west costal path which lead you to Alum bay to west and Compton bay to est, ideal for hiking lovers.
Facilities:
đ big car park with barred entrance and exit, amazing view from the restaurants, good breakfast provided, service at the tables outside on the terrace restaurant.
đ music in the restaurant at breakfast time, can not seat inside if you are very noise sensitive, bottled water is not included and very expensive.
Amenities:
đ library!
đgoogle shows there is a Spa, with indoor swimming pool, but THERE IS NOT! - it was the previous hotel being there that had it.
Staff:
Had a great couple of days at this hotel. Staff friendly hotel, lovely with great rooms super doggy, friendly and great food. Only pity in the area is the beach adjacent to the hotel is not doggy friendly during the summer. Other than that fantastic couple of days They also run a fshuttle to the Hut restaurant, which is well worth a visit.
Very upmarket. Lovely views well designed. Not really interested in posh/exorbitant- wasted on me. Just needed place for the night. Snooty barnan when i asked for a menu.
The hotel is overlooking the Rocks- beach an attractive tourist destination. Its a cobble and pebble beach with small patches of sand for kids to play close to the hotel. Breakfast is good with good options for eggetarians and vegetarians. We did not have dinner or lunch at the hotel as we are not fan of sea food. Itâs a kids friendly place and provided small bottle of milk everyday. Very helpful and welcoming staff. We would love to visit again.

This hotel is beautiful, clean, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was so fresh and delicious. I highly recommend staying there. You can also walk to the needles. Amaizing see view from room. Rooms are very well equipped with everything you might need. Thank you very much.
The hotel is beautiful and modern which we liked. It did lack in some big areas and I frankly expected better. The toilet was dirty on arrival and I donât mean just a little. There were dried urine stains over the seat, the toilet, the base and the floor. Not sure how this could even be missed (which I can only assume means they donât clean properly). It was resolved straight away but we shouldnât have had to ask.
The staff in the hotel were good. However, not so much at the onsite restaurant (The Rock). We found the service to be poor at the restaurant. We had to wait nearly an hour for a simple main meal which we were told was because of a lack of staff. This wasnât communicated until after we paid. The prices are also too expensive.
We had breakfast every day at this restaurant. The value for money is poor. They do not make it clear what is included. They will only let you order 1 item from the hot menu which is not stated anywhere. So you could effectively be paying ÂŁ25 for some hot porridge. You also have to self serve everything including hot drinks and toast etc. At this price point I would expect a level of table service.
Finally, the room is lovely. The terrace and view is amazing. We loved this. Again though there were some minor things that could be improved. This isnât a cheap hotel and they need to have a better finish and eye for detail. Carpet edges and joins frayed. Holes in bedsheets. Cracked lampshades.
Itâs a shame but we probably wouldnât return.
Absolutely stunning hotel. Fabulous luxurious rooms that are just stunning , recently refurbished to a high standard . Rooms and hotel interiors immaculate. Rooms came with little extras such as chocolates, biscuits, beech towels as hotel around 20feet to beech . Stunning location my daughter also had room with patio doors leading to private terrace overlooking beech !! Can not praise the staff enough , everyone was warm and extreamly helpful , always gracious went out of there way to ensure i and my family enjoyed are stay. Perfect place and location for my daughters wedding stay and wedding meal . Big thankyou to all the staff for helping to make her day so special . Brenda Walsh
We loved our stay at the Albion. The attention of the staff and comfort of the hotel added to our enjoyment of the wonderful location. We will stay again.
The hotel was wonderful, the staff were very kind and professional and always happy to assist.
My room was overlooking the sea, stunning view and the dinning area was lovely with a stunning view of the sea also.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. I hope to visit again.
