Even better than the pictures

Beautiful place, beautiful location. The house had everything we needed for cooking, bikes, kayaks to go over to Wescott Bay Oysters, tons of games for kids. We had a really wonderful time here.

Peaceful stay on the water

Fantastic family getaway.

Such a great place to enjoy a getaway for spring break with a family of 7. Relaxing spaces and room to explore including the beach and the deck. Beautiful views and so much to do in Roche Harbor and across San Juan Island. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful home and well suited for our family trip. The deck and grill were wonderful. Easy and peaceful walk to roche harbor. The kayaks were also a fun activity. We would definitely return.

A little bit of heaven on earth

This lovely home is comfortable, well furnished, and has a great kitchen set up. We loved watching herons and seals on the water, along with a float plane landing. Paradise!

I stayed here for a week with my wife and 18 month old daughter as well as my in-laws. Plenty of room for everyone, incredible deck with water views and kayaks to use on Westcott Bay. Amazing property and a delightful first visit to SJI. Thank you!!

Beautiful retreat on Westcott Bay

This lovely waterfront island home was well equipt and clean. There were many extras such as kayaks, paddle boards, ping pong, bikes, clam digging equiptment. We loved watching and listening to all of the birds including blue herron and eagles. The location was close to Roche Harbor and the Oyster Farm. Nice home for a family get away.

the BEST weekend!

We spent an amazing weekend at this lovely home on Westcott and can't wait to go back! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, kayaking over to Westcott for oysters (twice!) and cooking dinners in the well stocked kitchen (they literally have everything you could possibly need). Everything about our stay was comfortable! We loved the view, saw several eagles flying right by the deck, and even had a fox visit once or twice. The kids loved making smores on the fire pit and Roche Harbor was just a short walk away. We visit the island several times a year and our entire group said this is our new favorite place to stay - we can't wait to come back!

Great property, beautiful view

Visited end of February. House was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and all direction and procedures were very clear. We took a couple boats out to the oyster place while they were open on Saturday. We visited the dog park up in Roche Harbor and let the pups run around. The dog park is pretty muddy so bring towels. Saw otters and a harbor seal and lots of different kinds of birds. Hope we can go back again.

A True Getaway

Although the photos of this house are beautiful, they do not do it justice, it is even more beautiful than pictured. The light and views are amazing, and make the house one that would work in any season – from a beautiful summer day where you would bring the outside in by opening the glass doors, to a rainy cool day where you’d snuggle up inside and watch the seals cavort in the water. The big deck is great and has a sofa area, dining table/chairs, and lounge chair spot for those gorgeous sunny NW summer days. Inside the house is open, airy, and light filled, with beautiful yet comfortable furnishings, a really well stocked kitchen (and we are cooks), fluffy comforters on comfortable beds, and lots of space. Our teenagers loved staying here, and from the abundant board games to water toys (kayaks and paddleboards), there were plenty of diversions to be found right here. Bikes are included and there is a gorgeous loop drive with water views right out the front door which leads to Roche Harbor resort. The island also has many activities, from renting mopeds to hiking and whale watching. Town has many great cafes, stores and restaurants and plenty of diverse areas to explore. But, like us, you may find yourselves drawn right back to the house more than you imagined you might, in order to kayak across the calm bay to pick up some oysters, take a walk on the road right outside the house to the local cidery, grill your favorite meal on the deck as you look out over the bay, curl up with a good book, play some cards with friends... Vacation bliss is to be had here!

Lovely location by adorable Roche Harbor

Our group of 10 (family & friends) had a lovely time at this rental. We were in town for a family member’s wedding in Friday Harbor, so we decided to make a weeklong stay of it. The house is a scenic 20 minute drive from the ferry terminal, and minutes away from downtown Roche Harbor. It is situated on a small hillside which affords stunning water views! The switchback trail to the water and dock were easily manageable, and we loved having access to the kayaks. Exploring Westcott bay on kayaks was one of my favorite things about the island. We saw seals, otters, raccoons, and deer right by the property. The gravel driveway is a bit steep, but our cars managed just fine. The downstairs felt nice and open, great for entertaining a bigger group like us. The upstairs felt more crowded with a tight bathroom and shower area, but they definitely made great use of the square footage overall. We really loved the fact that the kitchen was so well stocked with dishes and cups! They even had a good assortment of spices on hand. Additionally, they had a great amount of towels and bedding, which we also appreciated. Sadly, we didn’t get a chance to use the bikes that they provide, but it was very cool that they were there as an option. My favorite thing about this property was the amazing, spacious deck perfect for entertaining! I would find myself just gazing out over the bay with coffee in hand all throughout the day. Thank you for a nice stay! We had a fun time!

The most perfect place to share with family

What a perfect place to gather with family who stayed all over the island. Large decks and dining area, well stocked kitchen, a grill, lots of seating. Could not have been better outfitted for a lovely weekend. Don't miss the Sculpture Park and Cattle Point. Beautiful! Thank you to our hosts for all the thoughtful touches.

Perfect for a family gathering— even better than description.

This home and location are in one of the most magical places in the world. We traveled with a family of four, a family of three, and a grandma. Three kids total ages 3-13. The setting was perfect and walkable to so much Roche Harbor has to offer, even through the Roche Harbor community trails right behind the home. Having watersport gear like the kayaks was so fun. Ping-pong table was wonderful. The kitchen/living/dining space made sweet family memories. The view was beautiful through all weather, and the condition of the overall place was impeccably maintained and cleaner than almost any place I’ve ever been in. The hosts were easy and understanding when we had questions. We’d happily stay here again. Feels like being in a (very neat and tidy!) friend’s home.

2nd Stay Just as Great as the 1st

This was our second time staying at this beautiful home. We enjoyed our stay so much last summer we brought my husband’s parents from the east coast back so we could show them the beauty of the San Juans and they fell in love too. The house has so many amenities and is so inviting. We enjoyed views and hanging out on the deck and at the fire pit the most! Looking forward to the next time we could return.

Roche Harbor Adventure

The property owners thought of everything. The kitchen was well appointed. The deck was just power washed and had comfortable deck furniture. The kayaks and paddle boards were easily assessed. Just 5 minutes from Roche Harbor resort pickleball courts which were just resurfaced in May 2025. There were just four adults and one canine kid. Thank you for sharing your retreat!

Great Vacation

This is our second time at the property and really enjoyed it again. The spot is beautiful, the house is lovely, very well maintained and well equipped. When we had a door code issue, the owners were super responsive. We hope to be back again soon!

Beautiful Memorial Day Weekend on Westcott Bay

Our family had a blast in this gorgeous house on beautify Westcott Bay. We walked to Roche Harbor each day, but also enjoyed the lovely deck, kayaks, and well appointed kitchen.

Pictures don't do it justice!

We booked late and I was worried about not having a great choice - this house is awesome!! Great sized rooms, convenient bathrooms that are updated; perfect layout for everyone to hang out. The location is the best! Right up the hill from the sculpture garden, we should have planned more time there! Roche Harbor is a 2 min drive, we ate there twice at both restaurants and picked up coffee in the morning. 15 min drive into Friday Harbor, 10 mins to Lime Kiln. We saw otters and baby fox!! My only comment - and it did not bother us at all; is the spiral staircase to two of the bedrooms. Well stocked, good beds! Thanks!
