"This is a 5-star hot springs/onsen resort tastefully decorated, beautifully maintained and luxurious in every way. You won't regret staying here! We loved every moment here and wished we could have stayed longer."
"Rooms were very nice, staff was helpful, food was excellent. Private onsens were great. Hotel is set in a very nice location with great views from the room. We stayed two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it."
"Hanamurasaki is beautiful in almost every way. The rooms are huge and gorgeous, everything is spotlessly clean, and the location relative to the river and the rest of town is perfect. Our room had a private outdoor mineral bath. Yes, it’s very expensive, but we definitely feel like it was a worthy experience. We had omakase dinners five of our first 10 nights in Japan and our only complaint about Hanamurasaki would be that the omakase dinners were a little too hard-core Japanese for us. Most of the clientele’s Japanese so it makes sense, but as Americans we wanted some tuna, yellow tail, and snapper as opposed to some more exotic items. Other than that, the service is impeccable and the facility spectacular."
"Amazing onsen facilities. They have both private and public bath. Guests can reserve one private bath per night and use public bath unlimited. Their lady public bath has an indoor one and a semi-open one - do try the semi-open one! Lots of fresh air and you can hear the sounds of insects and river. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. And make sure to attend the performance at the lobby at night (8:45 pm during our stay). The traditional artist sang a few local traditional folk songs with shamisen. Very peaceful and pleasant experience"
"Helpful staff, a lovely room, excellent food and beautiful surroundings made our stay a highlight of our visit to Japan. Highly recommended for people who enjoy stays in quieter villages. We will return."
