Podere Lucignano Secondo - Le Logge

In the very heart of the charming Tuscan countryside, among the smooth hills of Sienese Chianti and the fragrance of its green vineyards, you will find the Podere Lucignano Secondo Agriturismo, a mansion built in 1898, now elegantly restored and turned into an exclusive relais.

The Podere Lucignano Secondo Agriturismo, ideal place for lovers of relax and nature as well as food-and-wine connoisseurs, provides its guests with a warm welcome and an exclusive service.

The apartment “Le Logge” at first floor consists of 3 twin/double bedrooms each with private toilet/bathroom, 1 living/dining room with kitchen and fireplace, 1 sitting room with fireplace, 1 sitting room opening onto the garden, 1 terrace, park, private parking place. The pool, open from May to October 24h, is shared with the other apartment.

The apartment is independent and for exclusive use, others guests could be present in the other apartment at ground floor.

The Perfect Tuscan Escape

We count ourselves very lucky to have found such a wonderful location for our 10 day Tuscan stay. It was the perfect jumping off place to explore hill towns both near and far. Close enough to Siena for dinner but also close to very excellent restaurants across the hills. And a really comfortable spot to just put your feet up and relax, if you’d prefer. Enzo, his wife, and son have created the perfect farmhouse stay. We had the 3-bedroom apartment upstairs which was perfect for our group of six. We got a tour of the downstairs apartment for four which was equally beautiful and well appointed. We were able to do laundry and even cooked one night at home in the well-equipped kitchen. The beds are comfortable and feel larger than you often get in Europe. We had a few bright sunny days and enjoyed aperativo on the patio with a stellar view. Great communication with the owner who was very helpful and gracious. I will dream of being able to return to this lovely spot.

A Perfect place to stay

We were lucky enough to get to stay for a week in October. The house and surrounding outdoor space are beautiful. The closest town is Pianella which has a small market, gas and a couple of restaurants. We had everything we needed with a well stocked kitchen, private bathrooms for each of the bedrooms, and plenty of outdoor eating areas. The private downstairs area has two additional bedrooms to rent if you need the space. The owners were lovely people and they made sure we had everything we needed including recommendations for a car service, a local chef to cook for us, parking around Florence and, of coarse, wineries. We were using Google Maps for navigation and the best way to find the house was by the coordinates rather than the address alone. It was a great vacation for us and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to rent.

Beautiful Villa

Had a great stay at this beautiful villa. Spacious and well equipped off a quiet road close to Castello Brolio and Siena. Is was a little hot sleeping at night with no a/c, but that’s Italy for the most part. I’d say It would be a welcomed addition. Would image staying in the fall and winter months with the fireplaces lite being absolutely enchanting! Would highly recommend!

We loved our Tuscan Vacation!

Easily accommodated 3 couples. Loved the outdoor space. The laundry facilities were great. Close to Siena and the winery Ricasoli 1141. Easy to Google map to villa but would love to have known it was a lock and gated entry. Our hosts were very accommodating and really lovely people.

Perfect Tuscan Villa

This villa was everything we hoped it would be and more. The other positive reviews of this property are reflective of our stay and lovely hosts, Duccio, Enzo and Liliana. Our group was a family of 5. We rented the top level of the villa, and there was no other group in the bottom level during our stay. The back patio and lower level sitting room are shared spaces if there are groups occupying both levels. Duccio and Enzo met us at the property upon arrival, showed us around the property and provided plenty of helpful recommendations. The villa was perfectly clean and fully stocked. The view is incredible - we spent a lot of time out on the back patio watching the sunset with wine and charcuterie. The property is about 25 minutes northwest of Siena, so while it feels quiet and somewhat remote, you are very close to both the larger city of Siena and the small village of Pianella close by. On one of the days we set up a private tour/driver with Hills and Roads to bring us to the Montalcino & Montepulciano regions for wine tastings. We explored the Chianti region on another day. We have already planned to return to this location next time we are in Tuscany, and bring more people with us to rent the entire villa next time. Thank you to Duccio, Enzo and Liliana for a great stay and looking forward to coming back!

An Incredible Stay

Just can’t give this vacation spot enough stars!! This heavenly place has it all; amazing views, unbelievable amount of space to just chill and rejuvenate all on a beautifully manicured property. It is very clear from the moment you are greeted that this home has been lovingly cared for. We did not lack for anything. The rooms are beautifully appointed in amazing taste. The cleanliness of the home was impeccable. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more. We were met by our host upon check in and check out. It has been an incredible stay for the four of us. We would love to return and bring more family with us. Thank you so much Liliana, Enzo and your family for sharing your paradise with us.

Peaceful Tuscan Holiday

We loved our stay. The house was perfection both inside and out. The grounds which surround the villa are so picturesque. Gorgeous olive trees right outside your window and views of the Chianti hills stretch for miles. Our family loved to see the golden sunrise coming over the hills and filling the villa with warm light. In the evening the outside patio was the perfect spot to see the sun set over the hills and enjoy a glass of wine. Enzo was a perfect host, so helpful in answering all our questions and helping us to plan our visit. The villa is exceptionally clean and has everything a family needs. (Including a washing machine, large refrigerator and very comfortable beds!) I would not hesitate to book here again.

Tuscan Dream

What a great property! We used this as a home base for our week exploring Tuscany and it met/exceeded every expectation. The hosts went above and beyond to meet our needs, even when our rental car battery died! You do need to have a car for this location, since it is not really walking distance to anything. We enjoyed every evening sipping wine on the terrace; amazing views!

Living local in Tuscany

Enzo and Liliana have done a marvelous job restoring this property. The villa has the charm of old and comforts of today. It was great to "live local". The views of olive trees and vineyards from every window along with the peace and quiet of country living has a very calming effect. What better location to soak up the beauty and history of Tuscany. We were a short drive to Siena and other very interesting towns. But distance in Tuscany means nothing as you absorb the views along the way. Our hosts gave us some suggestions for touring and dining. We enjoyed them all in addition to two great dinners we cooked at the villa. All in all a very memorable first visit to Tuscany. We'll be back. Thank you Enzo and Duccio for all your assistance.

Great place, great hosts!

We rented Enzo and Lilliana's beautiful villa for a week in April and had a fantastic experience. They were wonderful hosts, the home is well-maintained, clean, comfortable, spacious, and includes everything you need for a great stay. Lucignano is very close to Siena, where we spent Easter Sunday, and is centrally located to be able to check out all the wine regions and historical Tuscany sights on day trips. Without a doubt I would recommend this location to others looking for a comfortable vacation rental. While there were only 3 of us on this trip, the upstairs apartment would be comfortable for 3 couples as it is quite large, and includes an additional living room type space on the first floor. I look forward to coming back again!

Immaculate and charming Tuscan Villa

We loved our time in Lucignano 2 and particularly the large wood burning fireplaces. There were 2 but we were drawn to the one in the large country kitchen. We also enjoyed having an outdoor grill so we could do our own steak Florentine. In fact we had dinners at the Villa every night and explored the wineries, hill towns and Sienna. Our hosts were gracious and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return to this beautiful area again. Thank you Duccio for bringing us more wood!

A peaceful slice of heaven in Tuscany

We just got home from a wonderful 10 days in Italy. When we planned our trip, we decided that we wanted a centrally located (in Tuscany) villa from which we could make short day trips. We mostly wanted to experience local Italian culture without spending much time in typical tourist areas. The Podere Lucignana Secondo was perfect for us! Duccio was there to take care of our every need. He gave us suggestions on restaurants and attractions, and every one of his suggestions ended up being wonderful. We met the rest of the family - Liliana, Enzo, and Max. The best thing about this villa is the privacy and the PEACE! It is away from any hustle and bustle. We sat out on the patio often - with wine and cheese - and just gazed at the vineyards and olive groves. We saw deer and pheasants across the way in the vineyard. So relaxing and centering. The villa was our headquarters, and from there we ventured out each day to explore different areas - San Gimignano, Montalcino, Florence, Siena, Radda in Chianti, Castella di Brolio - Ricasoli. In the mornings we'd drive into Pianella and enjoy cappuccino and pastries at the little market there. There is also plenty of room to stroll through the olive groves and along the driveway and up to the road. Really, I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay in Italy. In 2-3 years we hope to return and bring our children and grandchildren with us.

Fantastic Place

Amazing is one word to describe this place. We were a family consisting of five adults and there was plenty of space to spread out and every bedroom had its own bathroom, which we all really like. The house was beautiful and decorated so nice. The owner greeted us when we arrived and was so helpful in telling us places to go and see as well as where the nearest stores were. There is so much outdoor space here as well. We took advantage of some nice mornings to have coffee outside and look over the vineyards. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back.

Great location, beautiful property

I am a travel agent and have searched properties high and low and seleted this property based on previous reviews. It did not disappoint and the owners were over the top helpful, friendly and quick to respond to anything we needed. We visited and stayed for 4 nights and I highly recommend it....

Everything we wanted this to be! Even better than the pictures!

All I can say is “Wow!” This place was everything we hoped it would be and more! The hosts were wonderful and very helpful upon arrival and throughout our stay. The house is a wonderful respite and was the perfect end to our vacation in Italy. You will definitely need a car here and we were able to rent one upon arrival at the Firenze airport. Arriving was easy thanks to the directions provided! The location was great. We booked a winery tour for one day and the company picked us up at the house. You could also easily explore on your own, but bear in mind that Italian wine tastings are the complete opposite of wine tasting in the U.S. where the samples are measured by devices. In Italy, you may not want to drive to all the wineries. For food there is the small town of Pianella within 10 minutes driving from the house and there you will find a great pizzeria (Peposo) and a couple small markets for groceries. There is a large Coop store just outside Sienna which was a 22 minute drive from the house and easy to find if you want a more supermarket type store. We enjoyed every moment we spent here with our group of 6. If you have more you can rent the bottom level as well. If you were thinking of improvements to make, consider a hot tub with a sunset view and maybe a fire pit for sitting outdoors in the evening. We definitely hope to have the chance to return in the future and we will definitely stay here if we do!

Wonderful week in Tuscany

Five stars really isn't enough! This house is even more beautiful and relaxing than the pictures show. The views are stunning, on a clear night you can see the Milky Way! We had the top floor with 3 bedrooms/3 baths. Everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of room to spread out and relax, including another room on the first floor with the open glass doors. Many outdoor areas to enjoy the scenery. The attention to detail with this property is second to none. Owners were quick to respond with questions, and suggestions regarding the surrounding area and places to visit and eat. The property has been updated with all the amenities, but still have the character of the original farm house. You can rent the entire house for larger groups or families and it would be perfect. You really couldn't ask for more!

Amazing stay in Tuscany

Our family recently spent a week at this beautiful property in Tuscany. We were travelling with our married children and there were six in our group. We had the upper level of the farmhouse. We absolutely loved the location and the house itself. The hosts were wonderful and were always quick to respond to any questions we had. It was a great central location for day trips to places of interest in Tuscany and we visited many wineries and old towns/cities in the area. The bedrooms were a nice size and we each had our own bathroom. It was a very quiet setting and was just what we needed after long days driving through the countryside. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Breathtaking

I can’t express how much we loved this home. Beautiful views, spacious living areas and well equipped kitchen. The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was top notch. Local restaurants close, attractions are within driving distance. Out door space was just fantastic. I would definitely recommend.

Charming house in quiet countryside.

The upstairs apartment has three en-suite bathrooms, each room very clean and nicely appointed. The other rooms are spacious, lacking nothing. The owners seem very fastidious and met us on both arrival and departure. A very pleasant experience.

Set in a peaceful location but not far from Siena. Liliana and her family make you so very welcome. Spotlessly clean and spacious. Accommodation can accommodate a family of 10. Look forward to returning in the future.

We absolutely loved staying in this Villa! I highly recommend it to anyone going to Tuscany

We had a wonderful time staying in this Tuscan Villa built in 1898. It has rich history, beautiful decor and unbelievable scenery on the private ten acres. Are only regret is that we didn’t stay longer(we stayed only three nights but wish we stayed a week). If you are looking for a place to relax and be close to some Tuscan Vineyards, this is the place for you. You will not be disappointed! The owner of the property is friendly, honest, and punctual in answering your questions.
