Decorated in warm beachy tones and style to set the mood for your trip, the interior of this home features trendy updates, like a barn door entrance to one of the bedrooms. The enormous, open kitchen features a large center island with bar seating and is great for preparing your favorite meals. Some what ok

Cupboards, remote controls, kureg were all dirty. Screen doors on porch needed repairs. Drive way was dug out. One trash can was full and at the end of the driveway. The other full trash can was underneath the carport. The location is excellent, but the property needs a little work. This has nothing to do with management, our bad, we mistakenly left our set up on the beach and it was stolen and our floats were slashed. Just FYI

Beach Time

We had a great stay in this perfect house right on the beach! Our 4 year old granddaughter just loved playing in the sand and collecting shells. It was a fun 4 days.

Great stay!

The location of this home is perfection! Close enough to restaurants and shopping but far enough for a relaxing beach vacation without the crowds. Our only complaint was the door lock not working on our arrival. It appears to have been an issue in the past and we hope it is fixed for future renters. We did have our issue resolved by texting the management company. Even with this inconvenience, we would recommend this property!

Relaxing stay.

The house is great! They have just about everything that you need. We did have to go buy a flyswatter, kleenex and baster. Other than that they have everything you need for cooking and eating utensils/plates. We loved sitting out on the patio drinking wine/beer listening to the birds and waves. The water was so incredibly turquoise. I have never seen it this nice. We spoke with the locals about where the best fresh fish was and we were so lucky to have been told Katie's. We loved it. I also bought a bunch of their fresh fish from their market next door. We hope to stay there again next year.

Great Location but LOUSY Communication

The location could not have been better! The house is front row on the beach and is in a quiet neighborhood but close to everything we needed. We loved the deck and easy beach access. Here are the downsides- the communication with the rental company is horrible! We emailed 3 times. We never heard back from them the first two times which were before the trip. I finally called because I had a question that wasn't answered by email. You get a call center when you call. I was told I would received a call back by the next day. My call back came several days later after we arrived. (TOO LATE!) When we arrived at the house, the lockbox that had the key to the house was already open and there was no key. The house was unlocked! Who had the key? How would we get a key? I called the call center and also emailed. This time I did get a call back within an hour. Thankfully, the local property manager came over and changed the lock on the door and gave us a key. My email was finally answered ONE week later! Every other VRBO we stayed with had great communication with management and always personal touches- like a welcome letter. There is no welcome letter and no explanation about anything in the house. For instance, I tried to start the dishwasher and it didn't work. It was as if it had no power. We finally discovered you have to flip a wall switch to turn on the dishwasher! We never did figure out how to turn on the deck lights. The other thing we really hated was that there were ONLY plastic cups to drink from and most of them were scratched and old looking. We actually bought a couple glasses to use while were there and left them so hopefully they stayed for future renters. IF you are there during hot weather, be aware that the thermostat is locked so you can't set it below 70. We prefer it cooler than that at night, especially with a foam bed that sleeps so hot. This house has great potential- but definitely needs better communication, upgrades, and personal touches.

I spent a few days relaxing here. Nice clean place right on the beach. I was there with my dog but the set up of the house would make this a great place for two couples since the living room separates the two bedrooms giving added privacy. I’d definitely recommend this place and would rent there again.

"Seas The Day"

This property is beach front sunrise side of Galveston. If you are looking for a blissful place on the beach this checks all the boxes; large chairs and table on the deck overlooking God's gift of nature, a living area facing the water with large windows, a nice kitchen, two beds, two baths, tv, games and more. For us, the beach was all we needed.

Ants, Broken lock on door and more

Door lock was broken and from reading a review from a stay just prior to mine, I see that they were well aware of the lock issue. When I called to after we couldn't enter the property, I was initially hung up on. Long story short, some of our groceries melted and had to be thrown out because it took so long to get into the property. Ants were everywhere and the AC also did not work well at all. Those things were also mentioned in other reviews the same month as mine. It seems the owners and management just don't care I guess. House did not look as nice as it does in listing photos. After spending over 2K to stay here, the last thing I wanted to do was deal with house issues! The only plus about this place is the location, the view and neighborhood is great.

Steps from the beach!

This is a wonderful little house with just a few steps to the beach. We had a family of 4 and fit very comfortably. We had some issues with the AC but the property manager was able to resolve those and got someone to come out late in the evening. Huge shoutout to Carlos for making this a priority and fixing it. Otherwise, the stay was perfect. The beds are very comfortable and the property was well kept. The porch was perfect for winding down in the evening with a cocktail and listening to the waves. We will come back!

Ants. Mosquitos. No A/C. Smelly. There’s a reason for the For Sale Sign.

Spent a week with my wife and three kids under 7 and we were battling bugs, a smelly secondary bedroom, a shower that wouldn’t drain, and an air conditioner that had a hard time keeping it under 80 for most of the days we were there. Door codes wouldn’t work. Had to call and get access to lockbox keys. Called for bug service to address the many ants crawling throughout the kitchen and living room. Never addressed. Took multiple calls to get them to checkout the AC. Finally they sent someone out late at night. AC guy even said it’s an old system that doesn’t look properly serviced and that it’s likely the owner is ignoring it since they are selling. Made it very difficult for kids and us to fall asleep. Couldn’t hangout on the patio. SO MANY BUGS and Mosquitos, with no treatment. Had to invest in several citronella candles and mosquito fog so my fam could sit out on the patio. Primary bathroom shower would not drain. Took at least 15 Minutes for it to drain post shower. Water stain on secondary ceiling that made the room smell. That or it was Cat pee. Smelled like it. This was our worst beach trip, hoping it would be one of our best since we had a whole house right at the beach. Not the case. Way overplayed for this stay, and have requested compensation/refund based on the experience. Have yet to hear back.

Location, location, locat

Know going into this you are getting location and location only. The house is clean but needs a remodel badly. There is water damage on the walls in the guest bedroom, outdoor furniture and patio is rusty and in need of a makeover. The AC works well but not well enough to keep the humidity down in the house. We were constantly at 75% plus humidity in the house and the thermostat was locked so you could only turn it down so far. But by far the worst part of the stay was lack of support from the owner. We got there at dark and the door lock wouldn't work. The mosquitos were viscous, and we couldn't see. After 30 minutes and two phone calls we were finally given the code to a lock box so we would use a key instead of the digital keypad. Maintenance was supposed to come fix the lock but never showed during our stay. The second day the house became infested with ants. We called everyday and reported the problem and were told everyday someone was coming to take care of the issue; again no one ever showed. We had to put all the food in the fridge and freezer to keep the ants out. The trash can was a disaster and a piece of food on the floor was quickly covered in ants. We went to the dollar store and bought ant spray and by the time we left there were dead ants all over the kitchen and bar area. We spent $2000 for four nights between the rental and VRBO fees. I contacted the company afterwards and told them what all went on. Two weeks later still no reply.
