"The front desk staff were excellent in helping out our business team on our first visit to Shanghai. Specifically, Sinnie took the time to help us with dinner and transportation that made our stay exceptional. When we travel again to Shanghai, we will be staying at the Amara due to Sinnie great help as well as the wonderful hotel."

"The hotel and service itself were good. Breakfast was good and staffs were very helpful. However, I got placed in 2 rooms with heavy smoking odor, something that the hotel advertises doesn't happen inside the rooms. I understand it is not their fault, but I believe they should do a better job of cleaning up their rooms if this happens, since the smell was so strong it feels like there was zero attempt at cleaning it. Also, the next guest should not have to suffer like how I did (I was unable to sleep for 2 nights with the smell from the bathroom since it was open-concept). I would not go back again to avoid the odor myself."
