"Worked for our quick half stop trip down south for 8 howeverthe place was not clean and one of the rooms had mold and stains on the ceiling. Unusable and disgusting room. Dust was still all over the dressers and fridge was something I wouldn't put any food. Found a cleaning rag in the bed and the floor in the master bedroom was warping with water damage. There was also a musty smell in the entire place. In the end you get what you pay for."

"We stayed the weekend for a volleyball camp. The cabin was very clean, nice, had everything you could need!! The host communicated everything very well! It’s a rural setting, which we enjoyed. There is no cell service at all but the cabin has great internet and we could receive calls, texts and everything! We have a little poodle that’s part of the family and we can’t ever leave her. We were very appreciative she could come! I enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the deer! So quiet and...

"I am glad I brought mt own cleaning supplies and a broom, so much dust, hair and what ever else was in the floor. There was no towels provided and a 1/2 roll of toilet paper, the TV didnt work and internet connection kept kicking us off. The electric outlets hung out of the wall and light switched sparked and only worked after several attempts like they were on a shorter fuse or something. We were there visiting elderly family. The underside of one of the chairs had mold and the loft was so hot...

Elk River Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Property was clean and staff friendly"

Spacious family friendly 4-BR property with AC, Fireplace and WiFi in Sutton, WV

8/10 Good

"Brian is great, very friendly and assists in anything you need. He is a great host that is in the main part of the house(upstairs) and the rented part is the lower portion (basement) of the house. There are great walking trails , and lots of deer and other wild life on the property. The wood provided for fires was a great perk to have included and we really loved that. This is perfect for a hunting or fishing trip for men- I think the listing does lack important details that would allow you to set your expectations appropriately. The inside is maintained as a hunting camp , not cleaned like a family vacation spot. There is no ventilation in the shower or toilet rooms creating mildew and strong odor. We did have a great time overall but again i would set your expectations more of a men’s cabin with an upstairs neighbor rather than a private glamping situation."

8/10 Good

"Very clean. Family friendly and beautiful scenery. We were only there for a 2 day weekend and didn’t get to take advantage of everything the resort offered like the pool and the grounds walking paths. I plan on returning for a longer stay in the spring/ summer. Bonus - I’m from Ohio and it doesn’t take long to get there - we can drive . The only thing- I think the restaurant is a little pricey. 38 a person for the buffet- it was good food but not 40 a person good . I’m not sure about regular prices on dishes . And the lounge next to it looked cool but like I said our time spent there was little."
