Great place to stay!

Nice, cozy and well maintained property, and lovely access to the local beach. Great central location, would recommend for a secluded get-a-way!

Relaxation!

Relaxing setting. Nice place that was clean (some ant issues due to location). Owner has pride in their property and offered suggestions on places to visit and things to do. My wife and I had an excellent experience!

Family vacation - unplugged

This was a great few days for our family of 6. The place was just as listed, if not better. We enjoyed the canoe and kayaks on the private lake. Sherrie was on the ball and pro-active with recommendations and tips. We didn't have to, but all 6 of us stayed upstairs - it was like a great big family bed room - something we have not done in a looong time. Great trip, and close enough to other major cities and lakes to explore.

Golf trip with the guys

We stayed at this beautiful property for 3 days for our annual golf trip that took us to Gaylord this year. The communication was quick and effective, the property was exactly as pictured and described, in fact, it was even better then expected! Very clean, quiet and relaxing, it was the perfect spot to unwind and grill after golf! We would definetly stay again!

Just what we needed

The place was perfect. We had everything we needed and more. The hostess was helpful and had some great local hot spots to hit. The lake is beautiful and the kayaks and canoe worked great for us. We plan on returning.

Recommended for Couple Retreat or Family Vacation!

Lovely home set back in the trees. Very peaceful remote setting. But only a short drive to shopping to make it convenient. We have used VRBO before. But this cabin was definitely one of the very best stays. The communication was outstanding. The cabin was clean. The beds were comfortable. Sherrie has thought of absolutely everything you might need or want to make your stay comfortable. Only disappointment was that the home was not directly on the lake. Misunderstanding on my part. But there is a lovely private lake just down the road. Don't hesitate. This is a vacation spot you don't want to miss out on.

Lovely getaway for my husband's 30th birthday

My husband and I had originally meant to rent this chalet with some friends for his birthday. Everyone ended up cancelling, but he and I had such a lovely time enjoying this quaint little place to ourselves. We were pleasantly surprised to see that it was already stocked with coffee and other essentials. Everything was clean and orderly and the decor was so cute (bear everything)! I love that notes/tips were provided for our stay and that clean towels were neatly stocked in the bedroom dresser. Sherrie was very responsive to all my messages the entire time from booking to checking out. 10/10 would recommend!

Awesome place & location

Wanted to fish some different inland lakes in the Gaylord area so we chose this chalet, and couldn’t have been happier with it! Clean, well stocked, amazing private location and lovely owners. Will most definitely be back!

Escape for the City...

We needed an escape from Chicago for a few weeks and wanted to be outdoors. This house was absolutely perfect for us. The house itself is well maintained with all the amenities needed for a getaway in the woods. The area has many lakes nearby, including a private beach on a small lake just for the neighborhood. We made campfires, took out the kayak, cooked indoors and on the gas grill outside. I was able to work from the house with the internet provided. My two city kids had the best time just running around outside without fear of traffic or pedestrians everywhere. It’s incredibly quiet and wonderful. The communication with the owners was fast and easy. They were super helpful in getting g is what we needed and anticipated most of our needs prior to arrival. I plan to come back as soon as we can escape the city again. I can highly recommend this house and location. Thank you so much!!!

Great place to stay in Gaylord

It was a really nice place to stay. The host was great about getting back to me when I had questions. Everything was very clean and I loved having the kayaks available to use.

Just far enough away, but just close enough to everything

Beautiful, quiet property in the woods!

We had a great time at this rental. The inside and outside are both beautiful and quiet. We loved the interior wood ceilings and spiral staircase. A great time to rest and relax for sure. The lake is beautiful and we were able to see the mother loon with her two babies. Gorgeous!

Great vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the comfortable stay as well as all of the fun things to do outside. The lake was beautiful! I also enjoyed the location because it was so close to drive to other enjoyable towns. Highly recommended!

Great getaway !

My family really enjoyed our stay at the chalet. It was beautifully decorated in a rustic way. We enjoyed the private lake with the canoe. Many trails around for a lot of toys. Next time we will bring our four wheelers up. We had all we needed to enjoy our stay. I really liked the wine barrel sink in the half bath and the shower tile in the full bathroom. Can't wait to visit again. The owner was very helpful and nice and answered all our needs.

Very Clean and Relaxing!

My wife loves the spiral staircase that leads to the huge loft upstairs. We drank our morning coffee at the bistro set on the balcony and in the evening my wife had a glass of wine and I had a beer while enjoying the beautiful scenery. I will definitely be coming back for the winter for snowmobiling. What a great location!
