Blue Hues is a centrally located home that sits on over one acre of gardens along with a protected calm water sandy beach and a wonderful reef offshore for snorkeling.We are located in the very private exclusive enclave of Old Hooper's Bay which is a 30 acre private community just west of Hooper's Bay. This center island property is shared with only 7 other seasonal homes and borders its own exclusive community calm water Beach and Park reserve and is tucked away from the main road. Their are no private beaches in the Bahamas but our private (no public access) entrance to Old Hooper's Bay makes our home and beach a very peaceful and most importantly a very private place. Our prime center Island location offers the benefit of easy access to Georgetown and many amenities, which include banking, shopping, restaurants and groceries. The guest house and main house come as one if desired and will never be rented separately to other groups.

Blue Hues is a well appointed Beachfront Home with optional Guest House along with its own Private Pool which offers a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the company of family and friends. This beautiful home sits on over one acre of lush gardens surrounded by over 40 years of local hand crafted stonework and native terraced landscaping .Our home has over 180 degrees of stunning turquoise water views complete with a large outdoor patio and a expansive pool deck which offer great places to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
You can stroll the rarely occupied Beach and calm waters just steps away.

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath main house has been superbly furnished and offers luxury island living at its best. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house with an additional rental option for the Guest House complete with a queen bedroom, living room, full bath, and kitchen. This is a perfect unit for Nannies, Grandparents or older Children.
*Main House and Guest House are provided with automatic whole house generator in the event of power outage which can be frequent.
Our wireless WIFI network along with Star link for our TV streaming service works great throughout the property including the Beach
*** NOTE: Main house sleeps 6 adults with a extra queen cabinet bed in bedroom two suitable for 2 small children for the 795.00 per night rate.
Our Guest House sleeps two adults only and if desired,additional charge is 190.00 per night plus 50.00 cleaning fee.
***GUEST HOUSE and MAIN HOUSE come as one and will NEVER be rented separately or to other groups
*** Guest House is not available with instant book please call before booking main house if desired.***
IMPORTANT Stays which include the following US holidays where a 7 night minimum is required....President's Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and all Spring Break weeks in March/April *(Saturday to Saturday stays in March only)*

What an amazing stay at Blue Hues…!This is a gorgeous property, and even though we have stayed here multiple times over the last five years, we are still blown away by the beauty of the ocean views and the amazing setting on the hill as well as the manicured landscape that provide endless photo opportunities…!Both the main house and the guest house are well appointed, and you can tell that the owners have thought of everything you could ever need. Clear label instructions are located everywhere to allow you to understand how everything works…!The location at Hopper’s Bay is ideal, and it’s located exactly between the airport and Georgetown…My only complaint is not having being able to meet Ricky and Jodie in person to thank them for allowing us to stay at their little piece of Heaven on Earth…!

Our family of four stayed at Blue Hues in early July and it was just wonderful. The location was perfect and close to the airport and where we needed to be for excursions as well as restaurants and markets. The house itself was fantastically appointed and had everything we needed and the private beach, the water, the pool and the views were perfect. The hosts were so communicative, helpful and responsive and went above and beyond, spending time by phone, e-mail and text to ensure we were well prepared for our trip. If you're thinking about visiting Exuma, do not pass Blue Hues up! We look forward to our return!

Heaven on earth

One week isn’t long enough. The beauty of the sunrise from the back porch every morning made it worth setting our alarm clocks even on vacation. Amazing Host. Stunning Property.

The host and property exceeded our expectations. I have been traveling to Great Exuma for years and this property has everything...beach, pool, beautiful tropical landscaping and a well equipped house! Bucket List Vacation was PERFECT!!

The Blue Hues house is the place you want to stay in Exuma because this house has it ALL! There are breathtaking views, it has a pool, and a beach! Rick has a garage full of ANY of your needs for the pool and beach. You can swim out to the reef to see lots of fish and we were all blest find a sea turtle! The house and guest house worked perfectly for 8 adults and an infant. Rick is super to work with and Michelle was the best helping us get settled into the house.

Second Incredible Stay

After another perfect week at this truly stunning property, my family is ready to plan our next visit. The listing pictures do not do justice to the views and immediate access to the pristine, QUIET beach. Amazing rental on Exuma

We have had such a great experience renting Blue Hues from Rick and Jodi! From the second I booked to the day we left Exuma, Rick was so helpful every step of the way. We really felt 100% satisfied and comfortable booking this property with Rick, especially being first time visitors in Exuma.The house was everything and more that we could have expected! Pictures don't do it justice this property is amazing!! Perfect location on the island so we were able to easily go to either way to explore different beaches/restaurants. The gardens surrounding the house was such a nice touch to it all. We loved walking through, especially to the outdoor shower off to the side of the house down one of the many beautiful garden paths. I literally just used that outdoor shower everyday and enjoyed the light breeze while staring out into the ocean and hearing the waves wash on shore. Everything was very clean, and spacious for our family of 5. We didn't use the guest house since we didn't need rhe room but Im sure it is just as nice and the main house. Pool was definitely an added bonus. The whole set up was perfect, you could see the ocean from the house, the patio, the pool/pool deck and even when you pull in to the driveway from the private road leading to it. Quick walk down the driveway to the shared private beach with clear turquoise water and nice clean sand. There is even a tree swing down by the beach! Im telling you, book this place you will not regret it! Thanks again Rick!

We stayed here for my 60th Birthday. The villa is stunning, attention to detail 1st class, with everything at the property you could wish for. Beach towels, beach chairs, beach matts, coolers to take to the beach. The interior is stunning, with everything you need and more and the gardens are so pretty and private and the location is superb. 7 properties in 30 acres, totally private in a private quiet road with its own beach for residents! The pool has sun loungers and inflatables in the garage. The annexe was so nice and none of us wanted to leave. The host gave us so much information and was so helpful. I don’t think you could get a better villa and location in Exuma . As we are from the Uk it’s a long way for us but if I was in America I would be going here every year. Amazing, Amaxing Amaxing ! Bravo Rick & Jodi!! We recently stayed a week a Blue Hues and it was an absolute joy! The location on the ocean is perfection the pool is an awesome spot to keep an eye on the ocean and I spent mornings on the patio watching the sun come up over the ocean! The flowers and the birds were a constant feast for the eyes! The house is gorgeous and has everything you'd ever need. The feeling that really stuck with me throughout was I've stayed at rental properties before and this wasn't that..this was a home! Thank you Rick & Jodi for sharing it with us!!

Best water views on the island

The views from this home and its pool were so terrific that my wife and I didn't eat a single meal at a restaurant all week, except on Monday, when we chartered a boat to go on the iguana, pigs, sharks, and sandbar trip. I can't imagine what this property has in terms of hardscape and landscaping. We will be back next year. We used and recommed Island Wings to charter a light twin to and from Nassua and Capt Andrew at Comfortventures for our boat charter.

4th time at Blue Hues in Paradise!

AMAZING!!!! This is our 4 time staying at Blue Hues and it gets better with each visit. This trip was for 14 days and it still wasn’t long enough. The home has everything you can possibly need for an amazing vacation. If Privacy is something that you want, look no further, Blue Hues is your place. With each visit we learn more about the home and the island and each time we feel more comfortable and connected with it. It really is everything that you expect and much more! Everyone on the team is nice and helpful and Rick is always available for a call to answer any possible question that you might have. One week in paradise!

We just returned from our first trip to Exuma. We rented Blue Hues based on location, reviews, amenities offered, view... everything is accurate. It is a nice CLEAN home situated in a "resort feeling" setting of beautiful landscaping. All with an amazing view of the gorgeous turquoise waters of the Bahamas.We enjoyed the private pool, almost private beach, nice spacious back patio with plenty of comfy seating options. There were no surprises! We don't know if we'll ever be back on the island, but if we are, we would not hesitate to rent Blue Hues again. Rick is an amazing owner and so easy to work with! Paradise…

We had an amazing 7 days at Blu Hues. Rick is the best host we have ever had. You will not regret renting this property because not only is the property spectacular but Rick will take care of you every step of the way. He is quick to respond to all questions and concerns and has a wealth of knowledge about the island. The house had everything we needed. We loved the beach right in front of the house. We had it to ourselves most of the time. My boys enjoyed tossing the football and snorkeling at the reef in front of the house. This was our first time visiting Exuma and enjoyed exploring all over the island. We rented glass-bottom kayaks and a guide to show us around the Moriah Harbor Cay National Park (T.T. Water sports). Gorgeous place and one of the highlights of our trip. We also rented ATVs from Exuma Adventure Tours (also with a guide) and explored different areas in the west side of the island. Highly recommend checking out Starfish beach and Coconut Club on Stocking Island. You can get there by water taxi or rent a boat. There is no shortage of great food on the island. We loved 23 North and Blu on the Water. We also went to the Fish Fry and ate at Shirleys and Krusty Krab for local food. We had the best tropical conch salad at Da Out Deck, prepared by Rasta Steve (also located at the Fish Fry). Oh and do try the Kalik mango beer. It is DELICIOUS!The house comes well-stocked with kayaks, snorkeling equipment, coolers, chairs and all the beach toys you would need.

Paradise in Exuma

Beautiful home in Exuma Bahamas! Views of turquoise water surrounds you from your patio as well as gorgeous tropical gardens and a short walk to your own private beach! You couldn’t ask for more!

Great multi-generational stay!

We stayed just over a week at Blue Hues with our kids and grandkids, ages two and five. Everyone had an absolute wonderful time, and enjoyed everything this property had to offer! The home was perfect for our two families. It had everything you could think of! From the well stocked indoor cards and games, to the plethora of outdoor seating and water toys. We spent our time hanging out by the pool, or lounging in the hammock by the ocean! We loved the privacy and beautiful gardens! The peacocks were loved by our grandchildren! We will always treasure our time spent at this special place. Thank you Rick!

Great house, best location

Beautiful house with beautiful property and all the amenities you need. Rick was an amazing host, so attentive and great communication. You don’t need to leave the property at all. We had the best stay and will return!

Exuma vacation

Rick and Jodi go above and beyond to ensure guests have all they need for a perfect island getaway. The location was gorgeous, house (and guesthouse) were well stocked with essentials and immaculate, and the pool and landscaping well maintained. Easy check in/check out and super responsive to any questions or needs. Our party of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Would book again in a heartbeat!
