"BEWARE! This property has a second floor. A group of approx 16 people with 6 toddlers were above us. The children were running, stomping, crying, yelling, bouncing balls non stop from check-in to check-out. Also, all carbon monoxide detectors had been pulled from the ceilings and were in a kitchen cabinet. Didn’t sleep a wink. Host kept saying see if it stops. Trying to enjoy a family milestone and all the festivities involved but the relentless disturbance overhead was beyond upsetting. Discovered the missing detectors upon check-out. Called in to vrbo and they asked the host to refund the entire charge for the stay. Because I didn’t call vrbo while I was at the property and only dealt with the host by sending dozens of messages, vrbo said that the host refuses to refund one penny and there is nothing vrbo can do about it. Vrbo says in a recorded message that they aim to provide exceptional service. In this case they didn’t even want to receive the video proof of the noise or the missing detectors. They should have refunded me themselves and reprimanded the host. I had to leave this review because I am upset and because it is the truth. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY as it is unsafe and also because the host is willing to rent the upstairs to large parties with kids that can make your stay unbearable."

"We chose this rental for our family to stay together to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Boston University. 4 bedrooms/2 baths worked for 4 grandparents and my husband and I. Nice bedding and towels. Stocked with all the necessities which was appreciated.The apartment on the 3rd floor was doable but not ideal with luggage/groceries.The space was very clean and accurately described by the pictures. We were able to cook meals, visit, and relax in one space which was wonderful.The location the perfect distance from the events, restaurants, excursions and the airport. Easy to park in the driveway around back.The only negative was the noise from the neighborhood. Loud music being played late nightly and the sirens from emergency vehicles. Of course that is out of the owner’s control."

"The host was great. Very quick to respond to messages. This home is old but charming. We did see some gnarly centipedes so an exterminator is needed or do as we did and relocate them outside. The downstairs bathroom looks updated but no lip on shower stall makes water go all over the bathroom floor so be careful you don’t slip and fall. Laundry is in the basement which has very steep stairs. The home is easy to find and seems to be in a decent area. Grocery store is close by as well as the train station. All in all we loved our trip to Boston and can’t wait to visit again."
