The room is clean but not too spacious after the tatami are laid out. The staff are not rude but not extremely hospitable either. Check in staff were exceptional! Although we speak some Nihongo, a technically Eigo-competent staffer clearly explained all aspects essential to our visit. Very helpful.

Room we paid for 3 people was hugh. 4 people could stayed - 2 super single beds and 1 queen bed. A well stocked kitchen with plenty of utensils. An induction cooker which we did not use. Beautiful rural area with mountains, rivers and waterfalls. Gero-onsen is an outdoor museum of transferred houses that depict life in an early Japanese settlement. Worth a visit!
