Palazzo Castagna is a beautiful property in the quiet village of Ghaxaq. The bedrooms are spotless with everything you need for for stay. The pool is well maintained, towels provided and a lovely pool bar. The staff are exemplary. Every single one goes out if their way to make your stay the best. Special mention to Sandeep.
This is our 2nd stay here and we are returning in September. However, this stay has seen changes. Altho a full a la carte breakfast is shown on their website this is now a some what limited buffet style breakfast. Still good but disappointing compared to previous years. In addition, there is now a reduced service for food in the evening. Not sure why because their chef is an experienced, skillful man who in the past has prepared done fabulous meals for us. During our stay the hotel was full, yet, the pool bar was closed in the evening and no provision for food on several nights.
This year the hotel has opened an underground cave pool. Lovely. but limited appeal and not providing any extra income fir the hotel. Feed and water your guests in the evening, every evening. Having said all that we will be vavk in September 😃
