"I stayed here mid-September with a group of 5 other friends. The house is located ~15 minutes away from the town of Mayrhofen. The area where it is located is very quiet and peaceful - there are great views of the mountains, and there is a nice stream running directly behind the house.
The house was a good base for our group - we went hiking in the mountains one day and another day we drove ~30 minutes to Hintertux to go skiing.
The house is large and it was nice for everyone in our group to have their own room. There are also multiple bathrooms and showers which was nice. The house is quite basic (not luxurious) - it appears that it is used as a hostel at certain times of the year.
One complaint that our group had was that one of the deciding factors in selecting this house was that it had a hot tub. When we arrived, the owner said that the hot tub was not working. He later told us that he had fixed the hot tub, however, if we wanted to use it, we needed to give him time to fill it with water and heat it up. We got the impression that the owner did not really want us using the hot tub, so our group didn't use it. If the owner is going to promote the house as having a hot tub and feature it in the pictures, I feel as though they should make sure it's working properly for all groups. That said, we had a positive overall experience with the house and would stay again. "

"Ginzling - unlike some of the nearby towns - remains an authentic, likeable and calm village.
It's a fabulous base for walking the zillertarel alps. We hired a car but didnt really need it as there are many walk from the door and a regular bus service between mayrhofen and the lake at the very end of the valley.
Gerda and Kurt are fabulous, helpful and welcoming hosts. Can honestly say in many years of self-catering in Europe, I've never met such attentive hosts. The apartment is well-equipped and the bedrooms are excellent. The village has a nice bar and a hotel / restaurant...but no shop."
