Very good helpful staff good breakfast and good quality bedroom bathroom could do with having a deep clean inside edging of shower tray and around the other edging of bathroom furniture
Hotel unremarkable but I was lucky enough to be looked after by a member of the team who was listening and offered help in small ways that made a big difference when travelling with my pets.
Unfortunately had a very disappointing stay. It was so cold in room, that i had to request an extra blanket as the heating system did not work properly. There was only warm air coming out of it in just one small corner.
Also the smell of cleaning products is so overwhelming that it's quite unpleasant.
There was not a single drop of shower gel in the shower and the remote was so duty and sticky, that needed gloves to change the channel.
I paid £149 for an overnight stay and wanted a better service than that. Won't be going back I'm afraid.
Hotel hasn't got a designated area for smokers and entering/leaving hotel is a disgusting experience as have to go through a crowd of smokers.
Staff should be encouraged to wear their masks properly rather under their noses.
Hotel was clean tidy and staff were very helpful and friendly,, the menu was basic to say the least ,, and location was a bit away from anywhere to eat if on foot ,, Access to town good as bus stop close by ,
We came up for a wedding. Staff were very accommodating and allowed us to check in earlier than 2pm which we greatly appreciated.
Room was clean with simple amenities. I slept well bu my husband did not, complaining the beds were too hard.
Ibis room was basic but comfortable. Had all we needed in it. Me personally I do prefer carpet underfoot, our room was Lino, however I understand that this is probably easier to clean and harbours less germs.
Booked for 5 nights but after 4 just couldn’t bear it any longer. On arrival there was a stream of food deliveries from a a well known pizza chain arriving outside being collected by guests. (Should have run for the hills then I guess)
The rooms don’t get serviced until the fourth day. This included cleaning, bed being made, towels being changed, tea and coffee being replenished and even the waste bins being emptied. After discussions with reception supervisor the bathroom bin was emptied on one occasion. Also collected clean towels from reception three times and dumped the wet ones in the corridor ( still in the same place the following morning) Requested an iron and ironing board on Thursday (£5.00 deposit by the way) and that never appeared at all so we gave up) the room was serviced on the Saturday but by then we have already decided to cut the trip short and headed off home.
Im sure the place is fine for a one night stop over but if you are planning more than that then this isn’t the place to stay.
The room rates displayed on an electronic display at the entrance changed daily topping out at £139 PER NIGHT !!! This has to have been the worst hotel I have stayed in ANYWHERE in the world including hostels in the back of beyond in India. We appreciate that Covid has an effect on service but why not place a notice in each room explaining the issues and what level of service to expect. Stayed in a number of hotels over last few weeks and never had service this poor.
Too far out of the city to be able to do anything. The bar was dreadful - warm wine, beer that hadn't been poured. Nothing close by for eating etc. The hotel however was clean but the beds uncomfortable. Wouldn't stay there again. There was parking onsite which was good. Just too far from anything to be a good base for a break.
Clean, staff polite. Comfortable bed. Hotel itself very sterile, bar/restaurant more like a bus station cafe no ambience whatsoever. Room facing road we could hear the traffic. Plastic glasses and wooden stirrers in room as if a fast food restaurant, not what I would expect in a hotel.
