Thalori is incredible - the best part of our trip to Crete. It's very peaceful and far from nearby towns, so if you're a fan of places like Matala, you probably will not enjoy Thalori. We did not try their activities, but spent our time gazing at the mountains and stars, reading, and listening to the sheep bells. It was also the best food we had in our entire stay in Greece. The hospitality is amazing. We did stay in 2 separate houses while there, and I would add that they seem to vary quite a lot - one was very modernized and bright, with amazing wifi, whereas another was much darker and more of an old cottage, so do pay attention to which house you book. We strongly recommend eating in the restaurant every chance you can. Do note that the road down to the beach town is very steep, dirt, and no rails, and so only 4WD tend to go on it safely. Thalori can arrange a ride down for you with advance notice. We hope to return again. Thanks so much, Thalori!

The hotel and location was fantastic! It’s in a very remote location, however the drive there is well worthwhile. The property is beautiful with incredible views of the surrounding mountains and sea. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for an authentic experience in Crete.

Eine Perle für jeden, der die Ruhe sucht

Für jeden, der fernab vom Massentourismus das ursprüngliche Kreta sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Die Herzlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, die herrliche Aussicht und die individuellen gemütlichen Zimmer, die so angeordnet sind, dass man das Gefühl hat Mitbewohner des Dorfes zu sein, sind der Grund, dass wir Thalori in jedem Falle weiter empfehlen.

Highly recommend, v different to standard hotels

I would actually consider it a small 5 star hotel.. it is different to other hotels, isolated and surrounded by farm land and FANTASTIC views and really little Greek village feel to it. So quiet, and restaurant is very nice. Value for money was 10/10

Great relaxed stay

Wonderful hotel to relax. You find the reception best by driving completely down the road and entering the small village by foot. We came by night and had a harder time finding it. We enjoyed a late breakfast that had items priced per piece. Really wonderful, also the lunch and dinner. Great staff, very friendly. It was a very nice stay.

The hotel is very well situated. The view on the Lybian sea is beautiful. Due to the altitude the nights are not warm, so fine for sleeping. The staff was very kind.

Een hotelcomplex op hoogte

Het complex is gelegen in een bergdorp op 750m hoogte. De kamers (huisjes) zijn zeer luxe en romantisch ingericht. Het uitzicht is fantastisch. Er is 1 zeer steile toegangsweg, heb je last van hoogtevrees, dan is deze locatie niet geschikt. Het strand is alleen te bereiken via moeilijk begaanbare wandelpaden (4 of 6 kilometer) of een dirtroad met haarspeldbochten als je met de auto gaat. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en ook een zwembad ontbreekt niet.
