Great stay.

My sister and I recently stayed here for two nights and had a great time. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to two large bedrooms with sitting areas that shared a bathroom and kitchenette. Breakfasts were plentiful and cooked fresh. We were also able to pay extra for evening meals which was very helpful as we did not have a car, but check with Mongoose Manor as this option is not always available. The evening meals were excellent. Thanks to all at Mongoose Manor, we have no hesitation in recommending it and would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant stay in comfortable guest house.

We had a very pleasant stay. Staff is very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast. Free upgrade to the Executive Room was a bonus!

Conveniently close to airport

Upon hearing that we had to leave very early the next morning to catch a flight and would therefore miss the 8am breakfast service, the manager was kind enough to prepare something for us the night before. We were generally happy with the guesthouse. It is set in a beautiful old manor and has a very nice garden. Our only complaint is that the walls between rooms are much too thin and we were disturbed by noise from nearby rooms. There's not too much to see or do in that part of the city, but Port Elizabeth airport is only a 15 min drive away.

Friendly stay in Friendly City

This was a very comfortable place to stay with good service levels. There was absolutely no problem to check in early and when we asked if it was possible to extend our stay, we were immediately shown to another room that was still available. Some complaints are that the breakfast is sparse and the parking is a little difficult to maneuver. I would gladly stay there again.

Friendly convient place in PE

We only stayed one night but recieved a warm welcome and for sure will go back again. Had a cozy suite room as we stayed with our adult son. Food was great and hosts wonderful. Lovely garden and bar area. Very charming. Even hosted two resident owls in the garden.

Nice place

Nice place, clean and the room was huge! The owner was very helpfull. We had to leave early and she woke up at 5:30am to make us a breakfast even though it wasn't during the normal hours. A binder in the room gave us very important and helpfull advices concerning the area.
