    The Neighborhood:

When you stay in Grant, Colorado, you are choosing a pristine, crowd-free alpine valley that serves as the southern entrance to the world-renowned Guanella Pass Scenic Byway. Traversing both the Pike and Arapaho National Forests, this location offers an authentic Rocky Mountain vacation experience. Located just 50 miles southwest of Denver, it provides the perfect balance: a secluded, off-the-grid feel with effortless highway access to Colorado’s best high-country destinations.

    Unrivaled Access to Outdoor Recreation:

    - Hiking & 14ers: Lace up your boots for world-class trekking. You are minutes from top trailheads, including the jagged peaks of Mount Bierstadt and the rolling meadows of Kenosha Pass (just 6 miles west), which draws travelers from all over the world for its breathtaking, gold-dusted autumn aspens.

    - Fishing & Wildlife Exploration: Cast a line into the gold-medal trout waters of the South Platte River or watch for resident elk, bighorn sheep, and moose wandering through the willow marshes.

    - Stargazing & Deep Nature Immersion: Because Grant is shielded by the surrounding peaks, light pollution is virtually non-existent. The stargazing here is spectacular, making it a dream destination for night photography and campfire storytelling.

Epic Colorado Day Trips from Your Front Door:

    - Historic Georgetown (23 miles north): Take the breathtaking, seasonal drive over Guanella Pass, reaching peaks of over 11,600 feet, to explore a historic 1870s silver-mining town complete with a loop railroad, boutique shopping, and local breweries.

    - Fairplay & "South Park" (30 minutes west): Step back into the Old West in the historic mountain town that inspired the famous animated show, featuring the South Park City open-air museum.

    - Breckenridge & Beyond (1 to 1.5 hours west): Easily head over the continental divide for a day of world-class skiing, luxury dining, and alpine sliding in Breckenridge, or drive down to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs for a day of natural geothermal soaking.

    - Local Dining: When you don't feel like cooking, explore the unique mountain eateries nearby in Bailey and Fairplay, including a fun, nostalgic stop at the world-famous Coney Island Hot Dog Stand.

    Guest Access:

By Car: From Denver: Grant is just a scenic 50-mile drive southwest of Denver along US Highway 285.

From Georgetown: Take Guanella Pass, just 23 miles south to Grant, to reach the junction with Hwy 285.

Note on Roads: The Guanella Pass Scenic Byway, a 22-mile route, provides breathtaking views as it ascends to over 11,600 feet. During winter months, the pass is closed to automobiles seasonally, so be sure to check road conditions before venturing up.

We had an incredible stay at this modern mountain cabin! The design is clean and contemporary, but still feels warm, cozy and inviting. The private hot tub was the highlight. Sitting under the stars with crisp mountain air after a long day was exactly what we needed.—well equipped kitchenette, comfortable bed and thoughtful touches throughout.Everything was spotless and well maintained. Whether you’re looking for a romantic escape or a quiet reset, this place delivers. We would absolutely stay here again!
