"Though bijou, it was well designed and the space was very well used. The outside space was good and lovely to have the hills around, We did have problems using the very modern microwave/grill and cooker - It needed DETAILED WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS! and we would have preferred an ordinary electric kettle. A corkscrew, too would have been useful!But, we enjoyed a wonderful 2 days"

"Set in gorgeous surroundings, the field barn has everything you need for a rural retreat. It was always warm (something which we considered before booking it for our December stay) and we felt at home right away. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and the oven worked well. Lots of opportunities to go on walks directly from the property too. We like to stay in beautiful places and this ticked that box! "We had a lovely break despite some gloomy weather. The cottage was warm and cosy and easily big enough for 4 of us. The owners were friendly and helpful with great suggestions about what to do. If you want a quiet break away from crowds this was great. We did some great cycling routes and some lovely quiet walking. Some nice cafes in the village and we enjoyed a lovely evening in the local pub."
