Whitefish Walkout-walk to Lake Superior Beach!

10/10 Excellent
"We loved our stay & it was wonderful being so close to Lake Superior! There aren’t a ton of food options nearby so I’d suggest bringing your own to cook there if you have any picky eaters. We’ll definitely be back if we get the chance!"

"Second time staying at one of the Freighter's View accommodations. The view is unbeatable! Our stay was decent and we will stay again. The stay would have been a 5, except some of the niceties could have been better- enough bowls for 4 people, a mixing bowl, enough toilet paper for the whole stay... as someone who has cleaned numerous rentals for years, maybe I'm just picky. All in all, though, affordable and a nice stay!"

Charming Cottage with Amazing views of Lake Superior

Charming Cottage with Amazing views of Lake Superior

8/10 Good
"We enjoyed our stay here with our family of five (three kids ages 4–8) and our 70-lb Great Pyrenees. The view of the lake is absolutely unmatched, and watching the ships go by was a highlight for all of us. The kids especially loved the outdoor hammocks. This isn't "beachfront" but is lakefront. The shore is rocky. That said, this is definitely a shack, so it’s important to set expectations accordingly. There is no A/C, and the small space can get quite warm in the summer, especially when running the dryer. Condensation also accumulates on the pipes running through the kitchen and can drip onto the floor. Some less frequently used areas/items around the cabin could use more cleaning and maintenance. We found accumulations of bugs and debris in a few spots. The cabin comfortably accommodated our family of five. Although it is advertised as sleeping 6–8, eight people would likely feel pretty cozy. There is a shower, but the hot water supply is limited, so running the shower, dishes, and laundry at the same time can mean waiting for the water to heat back up.The Wi-Fi is spotty, but that’s understandable for this remote area of the U.P.Overall, if you’re looking for modern amenities and a polished accommodation, this probably isn’t the place. But if you want a rustic, laid-back stay with an incredible lake view, ship watching, hammocks, and a pet-friendly environment, this place delivers!"

"We had a wonderful stay. It is remote, but we normally camp at the two heart and this was a wonderful end to the day with a real shower. Paul answered quickly on concerns we had no problems with directions or our stay. I would book this property again."

"Adorable little place right on Whitefish Bay. Very clean, cozy and comfy. Cleaning person was always cleaning - even dusting off outside propane grills, chairs and the walls. She was very friendly and gave us her phone number if we needed anything. They even provided a bundle of wood for the outdoor fire pit. Small kitchen area had retro colors for a small frig and coffee pot. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and pans. Decor in the whole place was adorable. Wi-Fi in the UP is very touchy."
