CAVO TAGOO MYKONOS

"Beautiful hotel and property. Staff is well trained and very helpful. We enjoyed the DJ at pool side, but he did not play after certain hours in the afternoon or on Sundays. I would be nice to have him play music at poolside to deliver the full Mykonos vibe. The breakfast spread is wonderful, but since it’s open air people smoke while you are trying to eat breakfast early in the morning. I understand the culture in Europe and particularly Greece is to smoke heavily at all hours, but the hotel management needs to consider the comfort, health and rights of their non smoking guests as well. Maybe have certain designated smoking areas? Lastly, the hotel site on a narrow road on a cliff. It’s a two way street but offers no safe passage for pedestrians to walk to Mykonos town. It’s a 10 minute walk. But you have to share the road with speeding vans and buses and it’s very dangerous. The hotel does offer a shuttle service close to the town, but only for 7 pm to 7 am. Maybe a day shuttle can be added for the safety and convenience of the guests. Taxis are available but they (over) charge €50 for a 5 minute ride to town. Id you want to go for multiple visits it adds a few hundred dollars to the daily expenses quick. You can rent a car, and they do offer free valet, but parking is scarce in town."

"Amazing hotel - drinks were better then most resorts and the full stay was truly all inclusive. I wasn’t super excited about the service or some of the meals but given the price I thought it was still 5 star worthy. I would recommend and be back again."

"From the first interaction to the last bag going out the door, the staff of this property was amazing! Every single person there was friendly, helpful, and showed real pride and dedication to their jobs, the guests, and the hotel brand itself. I have never been so thoroughly impressed... the cleaning staff seems to be perpetually keeping the property immaculate, the lifeguard is vigilant and can pull like ten people out the water at once if needed, Rita's pool bar concoctions (try the Dark Apple) will hit every test bud, Crystal's quick wit and operatic singing voice between bringing the next recommendation off the menu and climbing flights of stairs to close your bill keeps you entertained, and Lena at the front desk navigating several guests requests to get everyone out the door on time and happy. **Big note...just coordinate ALL your reservations, rentals, excursions, etc through the hotel. They have the best and most reliable island contacts and go above and beyond to make sure everything is right** Thank you for being an amazing and unexpected addition to the enjoyment of my trip! Came here to attend a wedding, will come back to experience this place again!"

"What a magical, special place. Pristine waters and sand beaches, hotel integrated into natural landscape, breathtaking designs, great food, many activities for adults and children, central enough location so you can easily get around the island if you’d like to leave the property, fantastic attentive staff, clean spacious rooms. Hotel was incredibly child friendly - we went with our 15 month old. (Our only request is a few ramps so it’s slightly more stroller accessible to get down to beach but staff helps carry strollers down the few stairs.) My family is eternally grateful for this magical eight nights we spent at the Corfu Imperial."

"Second time staying at Volcano View Hotel in Santorini. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they make the effort to learn your names, remember your coffee orders, ask you about how you’re enjoying your time, and make recommendations for how to enjoy the island as much as possible during your time there. The rooms are clean on arrival and throughout your stay. We stayed in a non-suite room and it was great. The breakfast buffet is good and appears to be quite fresh every day. It doesn’t change too much throughout the week but you can order other food on the menu if you’d prefer to switch it up. The views of the caldera from the hotel are amazing and the sunsets here are second to none. It is easy to navigate the island and the reception can help arrange everything essentially. Rides to Fira, Oia, or anywhere else, excursions such as Catamaran/private island tour, massage/spa, etc. My only minor criticism is the music by the main pool (yes, there is more than one pool), which is the same style of music being played over and over again, with some of the same songs playing twice or three times. If you have a pool day it can become repetitive. Could do with a genius shuffle playlist or something and work in some European music, no need for anything more involved than that. A special thanks to Petros, Costas and George! 9.7/10. I’m sure I will be back!"

"This is a lovely place to stay, easy to walk in town, super helpful and friendly staff, beautiful pool, magnificent breakfast offering—certainly fit for Poseidon! One couldn’t want more—well, the bathroom in room 14 was quite small, but I would definitely stay there again. Loved it!"

"Staff really make this place. Everyone working at Stella is absolutely outstanding! Hardest working individuals, I’ve met and super friendly. Go above and beyond. Food was great, the only thing I would say is the drinks let it down for me personally. Didn’t enjoy any drinks. Also bare in mind how cosy it is if you want to sunbathe on your deck if you have a swim up room. you literally have people sunbathing in front of you as there are no general pool just the swim up pools so people will be swimming past your room, look into it at all times."
