"Loved the hotel except there's no staff there to help you. You have to communicate the entire time online. No parking onsite and you have to park in a public lot a few blocks away. It wasn't too bad but slightly inconvenient. The only thing I would strongly suggest is to provide better sun blocking curtains. "Our stay was excellent. The house was immaculate upon arrival, check-in was simple, and the kitchen had salt, pepper, oil, and two bottles of wine. Instructions are provided to guide you through usage of the hot pool and radiant floor heating. We were in house 2, which had a fire pit as well. For those who want to grill, we noticed a propane grill in the utility room on our last day. This was an exceptional stay with a great view and very responsive host. If we can come back, we will."

"So, this is a somewhat unusual hotel in that there were effectively no visible staff during my entire stay. Access to the building and to my room was via a pin code sent me (it came through Expedia’s message system and since the email notifications connected to it get mostly filtered into spam by gmail, I had a moment of panic while driving to Akureyri that I would arrive in the wee hours of the morning and not be able to access a room I paid for, but fortunately, that was not an issue. I didn’t get the breakfast either of the two mornings that I was there, so I can’t comment on that. The room was the nicest of all the rooms I stayed in while in Iceland and the in-room television supports Airplay so I was able to do things like watch streaming videos or play music from my phone to it which was nice. The one lack I would point at would be that the rooms have fridges but not microwaves, so don’t expect to make yourself a hot meal in your room, but otherwise, it was a great place to stay and should I ever return to Akureyri, I will definitely stay here again."

"We had a good stay here. The kitchen was a fully-equipped industrial kitchen with a very efficient dishwasher and lots of utensils, as well of heaps of space to sit in the common area. There was also free coffee and tea. Plenty of bathrooms were provided and they were clean and comfortable. The staff were also friendly to us. The pods were comfortable and there was a lot of room to store your belongings, as well as more room on shelves outside (less safe, but that wasn't an issue for us). The little lights in the pods didn't seem to go out at night, which was a little annoying, but we just covered them up. There was a TV in the pod that you could cast to, so that was nice, and the Wi-Fi worked well—I was able to take several Zoom calls with no issues. The soundproofing between the pods and the hallways isn't great, and it didn't seem like quiet hours were enforced. A large group of teenagers were quite loud during the night, so that was a bit frustrating and disrupted our sleep. Luggage storage was provided, but as it cost money, most people just seemed to put their bags on the shelves."

"Das Haus ist direkt am Meer (Ende Fjord) und sehr ruhig gelegen. Eine wirklich tolle Lage! Es ist ca. 30 Min von Akureyri entfernt, daher sollte man beim Einkaufen gut planen. Insgesamt hat es uns sehr gut gefallen. Von Außen, vor allem im Eingangsbereich, macht das Haus keinen so guten Eindruck da die Vortreppe etwas beschädigt ist. Innen ist es aber einwandfrei und wie beschrieben sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch Handtücher waren einige vorhanden was super war. Es gibt eine Waschmaschine, einen Trockner und eine Spülmaschine, alle Geräte funktionierten einwandfrei. Tabs für die Spülmaschine waren vorhanden, Waschmittel hatten wir mitgebracht. Bei Fragen war die angegebene Kontaktperson gut erreichbar. Insgesamt kann ich das Haus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen."
