Loved our room and views, staff were great, breakfast was delicious and included! It is a hike to town which we did daily but one would want to be in good health. It’s a bit of a climb up from town. The walk has breathtaking views and well worth it.

The hotel was away from the town center, but there is a bus stop just down the hill (5 mins walk). So even though we did not drive, transportation wasn't an issue. Beautiful location - the view from our balcony was priceless! The breakfast was very good, and the lady managing the breakfast area deserves a special mention. A very memorable stay!

Wonderful views - peace and quiet

We enjoyed it immensely. Gorgeous view of the Alps, and not in the middle of town so it was much more peaceful. We would stay here again.

Loved this place! It’s charming and quaint, local bus transport close by & and THE VIEW! It’s everything we wanted! They do shuttle from train station which is extremely helpful with luggage! Would definitely want to stay here again in Grindelwald ❤️

Would highly recommend - beautifully located, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and incredible views from the room. Only minor complaint was that one of the key outlets in the bathroom wasn’t functional.

Beware the corporate nature of this property. Don't expect a customer centric experience. For example, when you arrive, you will be required to pay in full for your stay. During this process you will be offered the option to pay in CHF or US$. If you are tired and not paying attention after a long trip, you may select US$ which comes with a terrible exchange rate compared to choosing the CHF option. In other words, choosing a foreign currency materially increases the cost of your stay. I spoke with the manager of the property regarding the practice. He said he makes sure people make their own choice and instructs his employees to never make the choice for the guest. Unfortunately for trusting foreign guests, employees will also not tell you that If you choose to pay in a foreign currency, you will receive a terrible exchange rate. They are completely silent on this fact. This lack of transparency illustrates the property's corporate rather than customer focus. Fortunately, there are other properties that don't practice this lack of transparency and treat guests like valued friends. I'm not suggesting that you avoid this property. It is a clean property, with a good breakfast, and a magnificent view. I am sharing with you that this property takes a win/lose approach to foreign customers rather than a win/win approach.

Amazing town Grindelwald.

Very amazing view from room, beautiful sun rise and sun set. Don't follow Google walk route just vehicle route. Good breakfast. Very nice customer service.

Just FANTASTIC!!

Fantastic hotel. Very nicely done mountain style room. Great fairytale alpine view from the room balcony. Simple but very very good breakfast with homemade jams, breads, local yogurts, scrambled eggs, cheese and great coffee etc., - shows how simple can be great sometimes. More than anything, hotel folks were wonderful, helpful and flexible.

Fantastic stay

We had an amazing stay here. The staff are wonderful and so friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The free breakfast was very plentiful. The food in the restaurant was beautiful. Good portions and very reasonably priced for the area. The hotel is in a beautiful position and the views from our balcony were breathtaking. We would love to return again in the future.

The town itself had a lot of tourists walking, driving vehicles, etc. and it was pretty loud for a small village. The hotel was situated about a 15 minute walk from the town center and was very quiet. Each night we would sit on our balcony, listen to the birds and enjoy the mountain view.

We had an Eiger view room and couldn’t be more pleased. The view of the mountains was one of a kind. The hotel was great. Very clean, well situated away from the busy main street of Grindelwald but not too far. You can easily walk downhill in to town, or take a bus if desired. I would stay at this hotel again without reservation (but best make a reservation).

We stayed here fr 10/02/22-10/04/22 at their 3 bedroom apartment, were a family of 6 with 2 small children. The apartment is superb!!! Perfect for our family, the views from all rooms and balcony are magnificent! It took us awhile to leave (for Interlaken to visit) after we checked in because were so in love with the apartment,we were "at home" right away! We cooked our dinner there, again "at home" right away! The only missing were the washer and dryer (LOL!), but we didnt really need it. Very quiet, really gives you a vibes on country living and again omg!! the view from the apartment! every morning you wake up it's another day in paradise!Breakfast was very good, so many choices.Hotel staff -each of them, very warm and accommodating! Many thanks to Sandra for picking us up when we got lost finding the property. Strongly recommend to call them for pick up from the train station bec it is very hard to walk with your luggage, esp big luggage like what we had. For 10 CHF its worth it! We also had them booked for drop off at the train station on our check out day. Yes its a bit of a walk (sloping grade) to the bus station , but trust me, its a nice walk (just dont bring a luggage with you hahaha) plus walking is good for you, we never had problems with our 4 & 7 yr old children (for seniors who are not used to sloping grade walking, highly recommend walking sticks).Not very far from the city center,I highly recommend this place.
