"Great location. Quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants. Short walk to bus stops. 24 hour convenience store a block away. Washer and dryer on each floor."

"Stayed one night and left. Booked a room for a family of 4. Nothing like the pictures. More like a prison cell. Zero natural light apart from front room with balcony. Opened the bathroom window to smell raw sewage, same with middle room. Strip Fluoro lighting in bathroom and no where to even place your wash bag. Also hardly any storage in main bedroom, scratchy bed sheets. We arrived late so stayed one night and the next day we checked out and found another hotel. The Strand will not refund us...

"Really the stay was pleasant, but there is one problem that must be taken care of, the cleanliness of the room. I stayed a week. The first day, everything was excellent. After that, the cleanliness is very bad. I spoke with the reception, but it seems that the cleaners are inexperienced."

"This hotel is ideally situated on the promenade at Sliema. The welcome from the front of house staff was second to none……… help was always there, staff were well informed, thoughtful, considerate and willing to put themselves out to make a stay excellent. The breakfast was tremendous, with an excellent variety of hot and cold choices. Meals in the restaurant were very good too. Everything was well maintained, with unobtrusive staff constantly keeping all rooms and facilities spotless throughout."

"Great location. Rooms clean and adequate for needs.. would doubt spending much time in them with the city on your doorstep!"

"Room was spotlessly clean. Large shower with good water pressure and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice with a choice of cereals, bacon, sausage and eggs and some pastries and cold meats etc. Location has easy transport links close by. Staff were polite and friendly. I think it would be hard to beat for the price and would definitely stay again myself in future"

"A dated property but well situated."

"Great location, lovely cool room with everything you need. Great breakfast and use of pool across the road. Lovely staff."

"Plus: Rooms are clean, daytime front desk staff and housekeeping are very helpful. Breakfast has a very nice selection. Location is close to promenade and amenities. 15 minute walk to Valetta ferry. Minus: Lower sea view room very noisy due to outside traffic and restaurants. A/C unit leaked water causing a slippery floor. Difficult time reconciling our bill as the staff are not used to Expedia reservations. Even though we booked an early pickup for our airport transfer, the driver was still 25...

"The base rate for this hotel room is set for 7 guests. When searching on hotels.com, it is configured for 2 guests by default, and if you book the room under this setting, the hotel manager will be informed of the reservation as being for 2 guests. We visited with 5 people, but the hotel manager demanded an additional fee of 150 euros. Although I raised an issue about this, they ultimately threatened to withhold bedding unless we paid, so we ended up paying 100 euros. This is akin to me booking...
