A wonderful capsule hotel! Great staff, very clean! Absolutely would stay here again. Good pricing and very close to the Hauptbahnhof. The area surrounding gets a bad wrap. As a solo female traveler I exercised more caution late at night, but never felt unsafe. Don’t be stupid, and stay aware/trust your gut and you’ll be fine.
First time staying in this type of property and i heartily reccomend it.Staff are,all young people eager to mske you eelcome and your stay perfect.I visit Hamburg often so will stay again and im an old man of 72!!
Check-in and checkout were easy with friendly staff. The cabin was compact but very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet, prices in the bar were good and the facilities were clean and tidy. It is very close to the station and good value. I would stay here again if I returned to Hamburg.
Stay here for the first night after a long ass flight to fight off the jet lag. Otherwise you basically sleep in like a tiny bed pod , and they have a cool cafe and downstairs shower room.
So yeah great for getting good sleep , after that book a different hotel for sure.
Good value. Very clean for shared facilities, and there were enough showers etc that there was never a wait. It was my first time in a ‘pod’ hotel, but I would return. My only suggestion would be to have a bit more of an extensive beer and wine list (I felt the choices were rather limited)
small basic room with good bed, nothing else, as expected. Quiet and good temperature and air. minus is shared toilet in same floor as room, and worse, shower in the basement. Nice shared balcony and reception areal with good selection of food and drinks at ok prices.
My first time staying in something like this. Didnt know what to expect but was very impressed. Staff were lovely. Room was spotless and toilets/showers very very clean. Well worth for what it cost!
Perfect place for solo travelers! Facilities are super new and clean and the staff are very friendly. I wouldn’t recommend the solo room if you have large bags/lots of luggage but overall my experience with just a large backpack was great. The shower situation was also better than expected for being separate in the basement. Generally exceeded my expectations! Great sleep too.
The hotel is awesome.Yes, the rooms are basically closets with a mattress and two feet of ground to stand on. I splurged and got the double bed room and do that, I can't imagine squeezing into the single. But the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, there was ZERO light in the room with the lights off, so if you like dark rooms, you'll love this. It's a deep cave. But there was a light switch on the wall right next to your pillow so easy to light things up. Built in speakers for bluetooth. The people who work there keep the place perfect. It's all rather new and everything is clean and well designed. There is a cafe and bar downstairs which is decent and a rooftop lounge area where you can smoke, drink or just hang out with plenty of good furniture. I spent two nights and really enjoyed my stay. The neighborhood is kinda cruddy, with people sleeping on the sidewalk, but it didn't feel dangerous and a short walk to a great, lively street and plenty of sidewalk cafes. it's just a few blocks to the train station. If I'm travelling alone, I'd certainly stay there again. It had a good energy and was very clean. Two people in the tiny pod would get tough, but for solo travel, do it.
Absolutely fantastic property for a overnight/weekend trip.
The cabins are very cosy and I wouldn't recommend for more than one to two nights as lack storage/space for a longer trip however they are perfect for a short trip.
Everything was really clean and modern, the lounge area is compact but comfortable and the roof terrace I would imagine in summer would be lovely.
The hotel is a great location literally a 5 minute walk from the central station making it an excellent base for exploring.
All the staff we spoke to were incredibly helpful and friendly.
There are toilets on each level with a large shower block in the basement this was very clean and the showers were abs lovely.
I highly recommend a trip here!
Cabins are clean and bathrooms too. My only real complaint is that there isn't a single iron for ironing a shirt if you're travelling for work. I understand that the cabins have lots of wood in them but would it hurt to put a single communal iron and ironing board in the main bathroom in the basement??
Overall, I really liked this place. The staff are great, they're available 24x7 to help you w/ just about anything and they're all super friendly. The space is very clean and well maintained.
The one issue I had is that the doors in the space tend to make a lot of noise when they're closed and given the number of cabins on a floor, there are lots of doors. So if you're jet lagged I would definitely recommend bringing ear plugs along.
If you choose to stay here you need to know you are staying in a cabin. A bed and almost no floor space so big luggage would be a problem. Toilets at end of corridors. Showers in basement. Plenty of them so no queuing. Dodgy area but conveniently close to main rail station. Access 24hrs to staff. Communal area where you can watch TV or read or work.
I’m not sure I would call this a hotel, it is a hybrid between a hostel and a hotel. Private sleeping pods with communal showers and toilets. That said the pods were really cool with LED lights and Bluetooth speakers. The accommodation was beautiful, modern and quite cosy and I couldn’t fault the facilities. Toilets and showers were super clean and in abundance, so no queuing. In fact I hardly saw anyone.
The staff were fantastic and the accommodation was in a great location, a short walk from the central station.
My only complaint was the carpet in my room had big stain I’m guessing coffee. and secondly I think it was the men’s toilet door on level one has no silencer, so late evening and early morning the door was just bang bang bang. But don’t let that put you off this fabulous accommodation, I highly recommend!
I was intrigued about this hotel and it's premise, so since I just needed a safe bed in Hamburg for one night, it was worth a try.
The place is easy to find but I arrived late on a Monday night and the area around it was a little crazy, so would I feel safe at night here, maybe 75%. Definitely not in the most attractive/safe area of Hamburg but it's within walking distance of Hamburg HBF so hey it's cool.
The room is small just like you are shown but it's comfy. I do wish there was a little extra space for your stuff- if you have more than a backpack, it's gonna be tight.
Noise control is great- you don't hear a peep out of any of the other capsules. There's no way to have an overview of the 4 stories unless you explore though, which is sad because they offer self-check-in but then you are kind of left to figure it out. First timers, check in at the desk.
The robe I was provided was too small but PLEASE just ask the front desk for a bigger size. The bathrooms on the ground level where I was were ridiculously dark which makes you feel like it's kind sketch. The shared shower facilities are really nice though- minimalistic but definitely all you need.
I would stay here again as long as I'm not hanging around there- the room is really small and hanging out there would probably feel cramped. Great place if you're solo,. only need a bed and not much else.
