Park Manor Hotel

4/10 Poor

"The lobby floor was covered with leaves. The lobby bathroom wasn’t clean. Breakfast in lobby was bagel with cream cheese and cereal but cereal container was empty and milk container empty. No one at front desk. Restaurant was closed. One good thing, he’d was comfortable and clean. We were there last year and all was super. It appears they have changed management and priorities and investment has changed."

"Staff was amazing. Have a food allergy and they were wonderful. The food was amazing too. Bar service was great and friendly! Had breakfast and supper. Room was pretty clean. Only complaint was some maintenance issues. The ceiling of the bathroom had a panel falling down. The hinge on the bathroom door was nearly fully out and the door did not shut right. Fixed that myself."

"Property itself was fine. The room was fine. The only thing that I had a problem with was the fact that there was one elevator out of order which meant only one elevator was working, so checking in wasn’t terrible but when it was time to check out, we had to wait for the elevator for a very long time before before we can even even go down and basically had to miss breakfast because even even though we were gonna be down in time since it took so long for the elevator to get us and bring all of our stuff down, we missed all the food and so unfortunately, it seems like we missed out on the amenity of having a free breakfast and then we also missed out on having what we thought would be an easy checkout and leaving the hotel room and then proceeded to need to stand in the elevator hallway for about 15 to 20 minutes if not almost a half hour before there was enough room for us to get on an elevator and bring all of our stuff down that we had."

"We needed 1 night for 3 people and the price was right. The grounds and pool are clean and well-maintained, as is the main building. The side building where are room was is a different story. Dark hallway with cleaning carts blocking it, no directional signs for room numbers, laundry and supply rooms wide open, a ridge on the threshold of the room that prevented smooth rolling and a pretty dirty bathroom floor. There was also old pizza in the fridge and the black out curtains prevented the AC from cooling the room. No extra roll of TP either. Furnishings were standard laminated stuff with sharp edges. The lighting and outlets were good. The rear key card entry from parking required a hard push or pull, like it didn’t fit the frame properly, and the wood strip at the bottom was splintering. Did not stay for breakfast. Overall, it felt like a cheap hotel that got away with jacking the price for the Belmont Stakes and not offering anything special."
