We had a great stay! The view of the river was beautiful and we enjoyed having our coffee on the patio in the mornings. It was just my husband and me this time, but the property was spacious and comfortable, and would be perfect for family gatherings as well.

Super cozy and clean place. Easy access to walk around the lake and not far from town. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is no WiFi - we had zero cell service out there so it was a minor inconvenience

Very few dining options other than a couple of fast food places. Retail prices were high for a small town (my opinion only).

I grew up in Hampton and hadn't been back for several years and although some things have changed it's still a quaint small town in Iowa

Went for a nice, relaxing 7-mile run before breakfast one morning. Very beautiful lake and camping area just 2 miles North of town. What a view at sunrise!
