I only arrived in the evening & didn't eat at the hotel because I had to leave early. The staff were very helpful and the room was good. I had to ask for help to get to the room as it was a long walk from reception. That was a challenge for me - would have been 5 stars if it wasn't so far.

I was not expecting this to be a senior residence, but this did not affect my stay at all, with very spacious and clean rooms, quiet, safe, nice staff, quite jolly chatting to the residence on the way out in the morning and all good. About 15-20 mins from the train, but I rented an e-scooter each day to get around.

A pleasant, quiet stop on our tour!

We stayed here for three nights as part of a tour across Northern Germany using the public transport Deutschland Ticket, with Google Maps giving us directions and timings. Eilenriedestift have a big site 35/45 minutes out of the centre by bus and tram/rail, in a very pleasant and quiet area with supermarkets and bakers within 10 minutes walk. The bed was really comfortable and the balcony had enough room to eat outside. We really enjoyed pottering in to Hannover and following the Red Thread on one day, and the Herrenhausen sights the next day, especially the big proper botanic garden where everything was labelled! The staff were friendly and welcoming, though we really didn't need to approach them as everything we needed was provided. We met a very helpful Scot right at the end of the stay who has been there 25 years who will give good local recommendations - we did have an excellent meal at the local Croatian restaurant, and we could have eaten in the restaurant at the site but chose otherwise. You must be prepared to walk to and from the site if you don't drive. We were, and Eilenriedestift suited us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a retirement home with a couple hotel rooms. Hotel staff was never there. Breakfast was only from 7-9. I missed it since I had to leave before 7. They charged me for breakfast but would not refund me the money

Ein schönes und ruhiges Haus - wir hatten nur nicht gecheckt, dass es eine Senioren-Residenz ist, als wir gebucht hatten. Das hat aber definitiv nicht gestört. Alles war top sauber und gepflegt. Zudem gab es ein sehr großes und modernes Schwimmbad. Wenn wir wieder nach Hannover kommen, sehr gerne wieder hier.
