"Came to the Vinland Hotel and Lounge to celebrate my fiancé and my engagement. The staff was so helpful and accommodating to make this special. We got the city view King bed room and I also ordered the sweetheart package, so the most charming bottle of champagne, chocolates and rose petals was in our room upon arrival. Our room was very clean and tidy. I loved the updated property, air conditioning worked great and the building felt very secure and safe. Parking was very easy and there was plenty of parking even for oversized vehicles with a 6’6” parking garage. One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of was access to fresh water in our hotel room. It was a bit inconvenient that we had to go to the basement for filtered water, and when we texted the hotel staff, there wasn’t really a way for them to bring drinking water to our room which would have been nice since we were already tucked in for the night, but needed some water. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. It was in a great location, within walking distance to all of the best restaurants and shops. Front desk staff, especially Lauren, were very helpful and pleasant to interact with. We would come back. "

"The images in the ad depicted a fairly updated room with ample natural light, a large window, maybe even a balcony. What we encountered as a dim, outdated, poorly ventilated room with a noisy mini-fridge. We only stayed one night so it was fine for our needs to look around the town of Solvang but would not have wanted to stay longer, especially for a price that we'd expect a little more updated furnishings, comfort, and aesthetics. "

"This is a great place for basic accommodations. Clean, comfortable, small room. Good wifi. Convenient location. Air conditioner worked but loud. Never interacted with staff. I've stayed here 3 times and will continue to return."
