"Nice little boutique hotel away from the hustle, bustle and smog in convenient location. Hotel ticks all the boxes for us - free car park, free wifi with decent speed, clean, free simple breakfast with good variety, friendly and helpful staff. Only a few minutes easy walk to ferry terminal to go into Hamburg city - a good, cheap and convenient way of seeing the ports and harbour views. Love the little touches the hotel provided like free complimentary large sparkling bottle of mineral water and...

"Oberdeck is in a great location to explore Hamburg. It’s very close to transport, restaurants, and some great coffee. The apartment was compact but very clean and well equipped. The balcony is a great space. Our only issue was how hot it was upstairs in the bedroom even when it was cool downstairs and outside. A fan is supplied but it was still uncomfortable. The roof top deck is lovely. We would definitely stay again. "

"The hotel is beautiful, really modern and the rooms are huge. A huge bed with a separate shower and toilet. The only downside of the rooms is that they are pretty dark and no air con (though they were providing fans). The bar is lovely, with a great drinks selection. A short walk to many restaurants and nearby train stations, a great hub to base yourself if visiting Hamburg."

"I wish I had read more reviews -- then I would have found out that the hotel is located in Hamburg's Red Light District. There was NObody to welcome us, check us in, etc., which, on top of the location, made us uncomfortable. The room itself was great, as was the bathroom. It's a shame the hotel is located across the street from "The Sex House" and you never interact with staff."
