"We stayed one night as a stopover on our way home to Scotland. We had a superior double room in the lodge part of the hotel. Stunning room. Very spacious even with what looked like a super king bed. Lovely to have the little terrace space. Had a delicious meal in the restaurant and excellent breakfast in the morning. Loved the different options to normal offerings with overnight oats and yoghurt smoothies. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Lovely dog friendly hotel which we’d love to stay in again."

"Overall, a really good hotel. I'd give it 5 stars for cleanliness, it was spotless. The only issue were the mattress, which was quite uncomfortable on one side and definitely needs replacing, and the parking space, which was very small and made parking a bit tricky. The location was great, with lots of lovely restaurants nearby. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit the area."

"Great location close to Harrogate town centre and with plenty of free parking. A grand old hotel with a degree of faded glory, but which appears to be subject to an ongoing renovation and maintenance programme. Clean and comfortable, and a very good breakfast"
