Cozy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay! The setting was stunning, nestled in the vineyards and the Cottage was very well laid out with comfortable beds and lovely design. One of our guests had such a great time, that she plans to come back with her spouse!

Beautiful place and a wonderful host

My family and I stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday and had an absolutely wonderful stay. The place is well equipped and very cozy with a wood burning fireplace, beautiful outdoor spaces (including multiple fire pits) and comfortable bedrooms. The host is also amazing - communication before, during and after was easy and included fantastic recommendations. And to top it all off, they even treated my family and I to a complimentary tasting at a local winery. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful retreat

A lovely home with a backyard you could spend all day in. Fantastic location close to our favorite wineries and a short drive to downtown Healdsburg. Highly recommend!

Outstanding Wine Country Getaway!

We absolutely love staying at Kimberly’s house, right outside of Healdsburg. It is a perfect size for our group of four, well decorated and sitting right in the middle of the Dry Creek Valley and a quick walk to the Dry Creek General Store. A great experience with a great host!

Perfect weekend in the Dry Creek Valley

This was our second stay in the First Crush Cottage with good friends from Washington. The property is comfortable, well-appointed, and perfectly situated for exploring the Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander Valley wineries. The owners and local property manager are gracious and attentive to the small details that make for a perfect stay. We will definitely book this property again!

Two Couples Weekend Trip to Healdsburg

The First Crush Cottage exceeded our expectations and was the perfect place for two couples to enjoy a weekend trip to Sonoma/Healdsburg. The location is perfect on Dry Creek Road. House is so well put together, a beautiful porch and garden. So peaceful to relax after a day tasting in the area. Highly recommend.

Anniversary Weekend

We celebrated our anniversary in wine country and our stay at First Crush was absolutely perfect. Kimberly went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Property location in heart of Dry Creek was very convenient for excellent wine tasting experiences. The property is beautiful

Charming wine country cottage

This house was lovely! The inside had everything you needed, and the outside gardens, firepit, and seating areas were perfect! Kitchen was extremely well-appointed. Just minutes away from downtown Healdsburg and walking distance to several wineries and lunch spots, why stay anywhere else? So peaceful and relaxing. Well furnished and stylish! Loved it.

Rent it if you can

What a great house for two couples. You really could not ask for more. Great indo and outdoor spaces for hanging out. Perfect location for running up and down Dry creek for Zin, walk to Dry creek General store for picnic supplies and 5 min. into Healdsburg for dinner and shopping.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of dry creek

This place was perfect for two couples spending time on wine country for a long weekend. It's right in the heart of dry creek, right by all the action. It looks out towards the hills and Vineyards. The cottage has everything you'll need, is clean and well stocked. Here is a great gas firepit out back and a great outdoor sitting area. If you are coming for a real vineyard/wine experience... This place will be ideal!

Excellent Home for Visiting Sonoma County

The house has been wonderfully remodeled into a 5-star accommodation. It is centrally located for Sonoma County excursions and very near Napa Valley. It has a rural feel, even though stores and restaurants are a short drive away. The house is very comfortable and also has many seating and dining areas outside. If you want to cook, the kitchen is supplied with all of the cooking utensils needed. There is also a high-end gas grill outdoors.

Thanksgiving Staycation

We live in the Bay Area and often make a day trip to wine country (Healdsburg), this time we decided to stay for the weekend and live like locals. We booked First Crush Cottage, location was ideal, prime location to wineries and downtown. The home is lovely, very clean, well furnished with all you need in the home and kitchen, great outdoor space, with a lovely herb garden. Kimberly was amazing, very welcoming and responsive. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you!

Love First Crush

The cottage and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous! We loved the way the cottage was decorated, so cozy! Everything was well appointed. There are multiple places on the grounds to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and the scenery. It is the perfect size for two couples. The location is close to downtown Healdsburg, Dry Creek wineries and a five-minute walk to the Dry Creek General Store! Napa is only a little over an hour away. The owners and property manager responded quickly when we had questions. The cottage is well equipped with everything that you need if you were to stay and cook in, but with so many great restaurants in the area, we didn’t bother. Definitely recommend First Crush Cottage and we can't wait to go back!

Perfect Cottage

Exceeded expectations on all levels- impeccably decorated, well-stocked, and the bed was so comfortable. The attention to detail highlights the thoughtfulness of Kimberly who was absolutely fantastic to work with- super responsive and accommodating. The outdoor space was equally as nice between the hammock, fire pit and dining area. We started our day with coffee and ended with a bottle of wine overlooking the beautiful view in the backyard. Beautiful and cozy

We had a wonderful weekend at the First Crush Cottage! The communication with Kimberly was excellent! She answered all my questions very quickly. The cottage is beautiful, clean and cozy. It’s perfect for a romantic getaway or a family. Everything is as pictured. The yards are lovely and the views of the vineyard and hills are breathtaking. We also really enjoyed our tasting at Lambert Bridge. What a fabulous bonus. We loved the location. It’s close to all the wineries, yet close to town. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us! We’ll be back!

Fabulous Home in Great Location

We loved everything about our stay at First Crush cottage. It was impeccably clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The layout was nice for 2 couples, with beds & baths on opposite sides of the common spaces. What really made it special for us was having all of the outdoor areas, which were so great for enjoying the beautiful scenery and weather. The booking and check-in processes were easy, and we had no problems communicating with Kimberly. The location was perfect for us: nice walk to the General Store for morning coffee; easy drive to the many restaurants & shops in Healdsburg; close to many wineries. Do not skip the complementary tasting at Lambert Bridge, it was a standout for both the wines and the attentive service. We would without question return, and cannot more highly recommend this gem. Crushing On Our Healdsburg Stay!

My mother, fiancé, puppy, and I tasted the romance of wine country over 4 nights at the First Crush Cottage, and found ourselves romanced by the authentic accoutrement one would imagine in a vineyard lined, zinfandel, baguette, and fresh cheese picnic daydream. The First Crush is more than a home in the wine country, it's a transcendence to a place sublimely isolated from the haste and pressures of daily life. Upon arrival we were greeted by sweeping lawns with delicately choreographed garden landscaping, highlighted with fragrant roses and a bountiful apple tree. Inside we were greeted by a complimentary bottle of wine which we immediately popped open and enjoyed on the spacious deck while taking in serene views of home grown vines, a vegetable garden, and idyllic hills just a short distance off. Over the next several days we enjoyed morning coffee and sunset aperitifs outside amongst the several cozy spots arranged about the property. Afternoons were spent exploring nearby wineries, hiking, and gandering the downtown boutiques. A highlight of the stay was the generously included private tasting at nearby Lambert Bridge Winery. Do not miss this. This boutique winery only produces small batches selectively sold directly to consumers. We leisurely enjoyed tasting their distinct creations while sitting out on a floral canopoied deck which overlooked sculpted gardens and vineyards stretching off to the horizon. For viticulture enthusiasts, First Crush is located directly in the the Dry Creek Valley AVA which is known for producing exceptional Zinfandels and Cabrinets. Plenty of local information was offered for our stay along with all we needed to relax and enjoy the home. The host is extra conscientious and responded to a minor inquiry almost immediately. We appreciated that level of interest devoted to the enjoyment of our stay. Everything was comfortable easy at First Crush. Along with country serenity, relaxed locals, and abundant things to do, we came away refreshed and happy. All was perfect. For anyone looking to get away and enjoy the wine country, we highly recommend staying at First Crush. It's worth it!

Healdsburg 2025

Another wonderful stay at this fabulous VRBO. Clean, comfortable, up-to-date and has everything you need. Yard and outside area are great - wonderful patio, beautiful views and a fabulous garden as well. We always looked forward to returning to relax after a busy day of wine tasting. Kimberly and Nicole are great to deal with. We hope to be back next summer. Thanks again for a great stay.

Peaceful Splendor

The peace, serenity, and splendid views of this house are perfect. We had our morning coffee and tea in the back garden listening to birdsongs, surrounded by the private vineyard, and enjoying stunning views of the forested hills bathed in sunshine. Our evening wine was enjoyed outdoors by the fire pit. This cottage is beautifully decorated, comfortable, wonderfully furnished, has a superbly stocked / updated kitchen, and outdoor sitting areas that include an arbor covered deck, and fire pits - one in front yard and the other in back. The host provided timely communications throughout the process and was very gracious in sharing ideas for things to do and places to dine in and around Healdsburg. We have stayed at rentals around the world... this lovely property ranks with the best. Our stay will long be remembered. We hope to book a return stay!

Lovely month!

We had a wonderful month long stay at First Crush. The cottage had everything we needed, was very clean, and the property manager was helpful and easy to reach. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out in the front yard and eating on the back porch. And, the location was the best! We were out among the vineyards but just a three minute drive from Healdsburg Ave. Our sincere thanks to Kimberley and Nicole for everything.

Great Sonoma Stay

This house is as described on the website. Easy to find and comfortable place to hang. It was very convenient to a few events we had to attend in the Dry Creek area. But not real close to downtown Healdsburg if that was what you are looking for. Very well stocked kitchen. Would return
