"Our check in time was 4:00 p.m., we actually checked in at 3:10 as we had an excursion, came back at 5:30 and our room was not ready. Finally got access to our room at 6:15. The shower head is at the right height for someone who is less than 5’5”, I am 5’9”. There were gaps on 3 sides of the door where you could see daylight which meant mosquitoes could enter. "A nice lodge in the middle of nowhere, but that's what makes it special. Very friendly and easy going new owners honestly making it a go-to accomodation. The cabins are rustic, but equipped for a restful night. The common refrigerator, library and coffee shop were quite useful. We stayed as 3 couples using one 1 bedroom and one 2 bedroom cabin and were quite happy with our stay (only 1 night). We all remarked that we would certainly stay again if in the area!"

"Adorable little cabins with great Mountain View’s. Staff were fantastic and always professional and polite. If we needed help, it came immediately. Great location near shops, ice cream and restaurants. Amazing pizza at Prospectors . When booking , there was a 49th State restaurant on site. Upon arrival, it was a new restaurant called Takos. We were disappointed with that. Dinner was good, but $12-$19 for a breakfast burrito and coffee was not for us. Would definitely stay again."

"This is a large but charming hotel not far from the Denali national park. There are a few onsite restaurant options and many picnic tables in the “miner’s camp.” Even though there are many buildings, the layout is such that it feels like it is a smaller place. With nearly 19 hours of daylight, blackout curtains would make a big difference—especially for families with young children who need proper rest. "The accommodations were way too small for the cost. The cabin had a full size bed which was all it could hold. We could not put our luggage anywhere as there was no room so we had to move it around throughout the entire stay which could have been a hazard if we couldn’t get out in an emergency. The walls were thin so we could hear the person coughing behind us. The bathroom was way too small so I had to wedge myself in the bathroom to close the door. The shower stall was too small. "The cabin we stayed in was right next to the pizza place. They did signing going on till at least 2am. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was pretty small. A chair would have been nice but it was clean and worked for what we needed."
