Our family has stayed at Mountain Ridge Cottage several times during the summer and enjoyed its peacefulness and beautiful sunsets. It is always well maintained, exceptionally clean and updated. There is always something new to admire in the landscape. Check-in was easy. The kitchen is always adequately stocked with any dishes or cookware needed. This place makes me feel at home.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was well kept and had all the amenities of home. We spent every morning and evening on the backporch- the views are amazing. Also, got to see some deer and white squirrels that visited the yard. Would absolutely recommend!
Opted to rent from Hilda instead of hotel or cabins at Camp Pinnacle and have zero regrets. Cost was more effective than multiple rooms at hotel and accommodations an upgrade from camp cabin beds. Thanks Hilda!
Myself, my wife, daughter & her husband plus 2 grandkids stayed here. Great house with unbelievable views. Plenty of room for everyone. House is supplied with about everything needed for a week stay. Location is secluded but still easy access to Hendersonville stores &restaurants.
Many state parks with great hiking and waterfalls nearby.
Would absolutely stay here again!
It was truly an amazing have a wonderful time. It was the vacation week that was chosen in January, which happened to be the same week hurricane Debbie came to Charleston, South Carolina! So it was wonderful to escape that mess and the views were just superb! I won’t even mention watching the white squirrels, munching around the yard what fun!
The view, the view, the view! Even on a cold spring evening, we bundled up and watched the sun set and enjoyed every moment of it. Amenities were plentiful, exceeding our expectations. Beds were comfy after a long day of biking and enjoying Pisgah and DuPont. The white squirrels, turkeys and deer gave it all a nice extra touch.
This was a nicely appointed property at the top of a ridge with gorgeous long range views. We utilized both the front and back porches, and experienced some incredible sunsets. The location is quiet, serene, and relaxing. It is also located close to both Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest, which provided great access to hiking and mountain biking. We will definitely consider renting this home again in the future.
The views from this property were absolutely stunning ♥️♥️♥️. To sit in bed with the door open to listen to the sounds of the birds, rooster in the distance and watch the clouds roll over the mountains was pure bliss. Saw the Milky Way at night ♥️ and was given a warm goodbye by a white squirrel on my last day.
Definitely want to come back! Thank you for
sharing this sacred space with us!
The hosts set everything up and give you so many things you may need. The road up is a single lane gravel mountain road. However the view is so worth it. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets and saw white squirrels. We stupidly packed the keys too and felt terrible and the host was super gracious on it being mailed back. I would stay here again!
I've been renting this place for over eight years. The views are absolutely gorgeous! Took my friends up this last time to explore the mountains and they fell in love. Also its a bonus that my Aunt lives next door and Hilda the owner is super helpful and if you let her know immediately something isn't working she will have someone up there fast to fix it.
The house and yard were perfect for our children and grandchildren. Loved the porches and observing the mountains from morning to night. The sunrises, sunsets, and stars were all wonderful. We’ve never seen the Big Dipper so clearly!
The house had everything we needed. It’s obvious that great care is taken to provide a lovely vacation home for guests.
If you rent this house you won't regret it. Super clean, comfortable and amazing views. All of us enjoyed it immensely. So many things were provided for extra touches. We didn't want for anything. One of the best houses we've ever rented. Owner was great to communicate with. Again you won't be disappointed.
We are sisters, age 61-72. We all have some mobility restrictions but stairs were not too steep. The view from back deck of the mountains is beautiful. House is spacious and very clean. Fully equipped kitchen ( couldn’t find a corkscrew ) but we made do! We absolutely enjoyed our stay,
This home met all of our expectations. Once you find it (I do not recommend checking in after dark due to the winding roads up the mountain) you will have an amazing stay. The home was clean and well stocked and everything it was touted to be. The views were outstanding and we could have sat on the desk for the entire week enjoying the view. We did, however see much of the countryside as the location of the home was central to many attractions that we wanted to see. I would definitely stay here again!!!!!
This was our second timing staying here. Probably one of the best views you could every ask for. That being said if you don't like long narrow gravel roads up the side of a mountain this house isn't for you. But the view on the front deck is worth the drive! Inside of the house is as described and very comfortable. There wasn't any back-up TP so that required a trip to the store and no bulb in the lamp in the guest bedroom up stairs. Minor inconveniences. Overall a great place to stay!
Traveled to North West Carolina with 3 friends to seek some rest and relaxation and play golf. Chose to stay at the Mountain Serenity House for 4 nights. The house met our requirements perfectly. It was as advertised. Very clean, comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very clean bathrooms with plenty of towels. The view of layered mountain scenery from the back deck was magnificent. Drinking my morning coffee in the morning or sipping a glass of wine in the evening watching the sunset was truly relaxing. It has about a mile of gravel road up to the house but not difficult to navigate. My friends and I played 5 rounds of golf at 5 different area courses which were all in good to very good conditions. We played at the Cummings Cove Golf Course, the Etowah Valley Golf Course, Bald Mountain Golf Courses (2), and the Reems Creek Golf Course (Exceptional). Would definitely stay again if in the area and highly recommend.
From moment we arrived, driving to top of this beautifully perched home, ‘Magazine Cover’ Views, within this tranquil region, having one side with the amazing expansive view, straight across, full view, Blue Ridge, Pisgah forest, with mountains galore beyond, as it all faces to the west, likewise anyone wanting a vacation home, set up for Tranquility, Comfort, Space; livability, amenities too many to name; The kitchen and all cooking amenities, will reach beyond and way more, to fill the needs of any and everyone. Its apparent that all and much more is within this property to stay a few days, months!! Spotless clean; It’s so amazing the magazine cover view that immediately pops in front of anyone as they pull up to the home. BIG full scape view of mountain range t the west with the every sunset every afternoon, qualifying for the Best of the Best. Not even the remotest sound of a motor, or cars, only the wildlife, of the many birds, perhaps a few deer, and of course many White Squirrels, the immediate region is happily known for. The amazingly comfortable living areas, multiple Decks several sides of home, expanding the length of the home, incl. plenty of comfort furniture, comfortable beds, furnished fully for comfort, charming bathrooms; if you need anything, its there!. Kitchen is with amenities beyond expectations. The expansive grounds, fully private. The entire region beyond, easy access, is full of life, music, farms, all charming, much to do. Sandie and Hal
We both agreed on the most important aspects of our Month in this one of a kind Home; Comfort in absolutely every corner of our life, loaded with comforting amenities.
We continuously enjoyed the ever changing landscape of this spectacular view, There were no two moments the same as the clouds circled and wrapped around the mountains and valleys, view reaching out to the very ancient Pisgah Forest and the Blue Ridge Mountains laying right in front of our view at all times, as if we were living in a work of art.
Enjoyed time on the many Decks, and patios, several covered, all with comfortable seating, and full view of surprise "guests of wildlife", constantly
Preparing meals was Joy in a kitchen filled with every tool, gadget, and cooking appliance, that anyone could hope for, and more!!
Room arrangement was all arranged around comfort, and just the right size for a couple or a family. Beds with not one moment of lost sleep. Location, probably dead center in what I call the "Golden Triangle" of North Carolina. just about centered between Brevard Hendersonville, and Asheville comfortably located to the north. The Big View direct to the West, could not have been better anywhere in the region.
The mountain top location private, yet comforting to know there were neighbors, very few and out of sight, within walking distance. pleasant open forest location and a bit of a feeling of being in a very comfortable treehouse, with every possible amenity!
