"Lake and dock were beautiful. Was pet friendly. Property was tired and in need of a good cleaning and upkeep. General maintenance was poor, leaking kitchen sink w bucket under drain, exposed wiring on outside of house near pool. To many issues to list."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the farm house in Lake Placid. The home was spacious, private, clean and comfortable, and the pool was very inviting and provided a wonderful beginning and end to each day. It was especially pleasant spending time in the lanai. No matter the time of day or night, it was very enjoyable as it was never uncomfortable due to the hot weather. In fact, it was always nice and cool and it was a wonderful space in which to entertain my dinner guests. The best part for me, being an animal lover and missing my own sweet babies while away on vaction, was the daily visits from the sweet little kitty that roams the property. She was an absolute sweetheart and spent a good deal of time sleeping on my lap while I spent time in the lanai. I also appreciated the Netflix, Prime, etc streaming that was available for viewing. I was able to binge watch a great new show, shoot pool, swim and entertain a few friends for dinner It was a wonderful stay."

"This home was exactly as described. The homeowners and cleaners definitely pay attention to details. Marnie was one of the best host we have encountered in our bookings through vrbo. I have a fragrance allergy and she went out and purchased products fot the housekeeper to use prior to our stay and left them for our use. She is very quick to respond to anthing you might need . We had a very relaxing stay and would recommend if you are ever in the area to contact Marnie to book your stay with her. "

"Renter beware! The pictures do not match the property. At one time this was an amazing house but now everything is rundown, unmaintained, dirty and not in working order. Prior to our stay we saw newly added reviews stating the hot tub amongst other items were not working, we contacted the host to verify all was fixed before we arrived. We were assured all was good. When we arrived, the hot tub, video games, water activities, gates, deck swings all were not able to be used. We were only staying for the weekend so we had no time to change houses. After the stay we contacted vrbo to inform them. They agreed the property was not as discribed. After weeks of trying to get a response from the host to receive some sort of compensation, vrbo told us we have to negotiate directly with the host. My stay in November still has yet to be settled. 300 refund on every reason we rented this property not working is unacceptable! Choose a different rental! The lake and area are amazing!"
