Great stay in a very pleasant room overlooking the cricket pitch and down to the river. Very friendly, professional and helpful staff. Good choice of bar or restaurant food with local beer on tap.

A lovely stay

We stayed here for a weekend and enjoyed it a lot.The room was clean, the breakfasts were excellent and it was great to have a pool to be able to use. The hotel is ideally located, with lots to do and see within walking distance. We would happily return.

Its our 2nd time staying here and both times have been exceptional. Our rooms have been large and the views were fantastic. The breakfast is beautiful as well. Would recommend this hotel highly.

Comfortable rooms and Fantastic Value

Fantastic value, extremely comfortable and generously proportioned room which I would have paid double for in some parts of the country. Hotel is in a lovely setting fronted by a cricket pitch, and the staff were all personable and attentive.

Delightful in all ways

Delightful stay with incredibly friendly & willing staff,nothing was too much trouble. A mixture of old and new & my room(in the garden block) was spacious,modern & a lovely view from the patio over the cricket pitch & down to the Tyne. Food was very good,I ate in the bar but you can go more formal if you want. Hotel is in an enviable position,just outside Bellingham so access to roads easy. Even an indoor pool. If you like comfort,without formality,I would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with traditional look and feel

Set in a beautiful location this traditional hotel is a great base for anyone looking to explore the local countryside. My trip was budiness based and was perfectly adequate for my needs. Food and service were excellent but if you want a high tech and luxury stay this is not what this hotel is about.....good traditional hotel.

My single superior room was just what the Doctor ordered a haven to reset and decompress. I used the pool which was quite large and not over run with people thanks to booked time slots. I had a double bed and great views a great room for a single traveller. I had a lovely stay and will definitely visit again as it really does represent value for money

Relaxing weekend away in great surroundings

Had an enjoyable weekend break at the Riverdale Hall Hotel. Did not try the restaurant but did have a delicious bar meal and was impressed with a couple of the real ales they had on offer. Had a good night sleep in a spacious bedroom which had views over the surrounding fields. The hotel is short walk from Bellingham with its shops cafes and pubs. There a few areas of the hotel which are looking a little dated but this did not distract from a pleasant stay.
