"Ok but out dated"

"The pros - the room was spacious and clean; there was a large refridgerator, a microwave and a mini stove; the parking area was well lit; and the bed was comfortable. The morning clerk was friendly and professional on day two. The cons - The evening clerk was incredibly rude. I even asked him why he was speaking so rudely to me. He raised his voice because I asked him why he wanted $10 in cash. He kept repeating the single word "deposit"; however, I paid in advance. If it were for incidentals, there was no sign stating so, and it wasn't on their website. The room only had two very small pillows on each queen sized bed, there was only 2 sets of towels but I booked the room for 3. There wasn't shampoo, conditioner, or a hair dryer. Thankfully, there was a Walmart across the street. When I checked out the rude man was working again - he didn't speak when I entered the lobby, I offered him my room card, he didn't speak at all. He didn't thank me for staying there or wish me a nice day. These a the very basic expectations of customer service. I will not stay at this property in the future."

"We loved our stay in the cottage. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We were there for a car show and stayed a few extra days to check out Asheville and Charlotte which were both an hour drive away. The river was too cold to swim but it was quiet and peaceful every morning. We even saw an Otter! We enjoyed the Copper Penny right down the street, as we went two nights in a row. We highly recommend staying here and would go back. Our only complaint was the AC units. We didn’t understand the remotes. Other than that everything was perfect! "

"This was a very relaxing stay, had a birthday party here and it was perfect. The pool I will say was not clean but everything else was great. We brought some fishing poles and went out on the kayaks. The inside of the house very beautiful and renovated. "
