Waterfront Cabin on Beautiful Peavy Lake! Sandy Beach with Crystal Clear Waters!
"We had a wonderful family getaway and made so many great memories! The lake was calm and peaceful, the kids (1, 3 & 6) loved catching little fish off the dock, and the adults had fun fishing for bass from the pontoon. We also had so much fun watching the wildlife—a loon family on the lake, a tree frog that visited the north patio sliding door almost every night, and catching tadpoles, frogs, and minnows. The kayaks and paddle boat were also a huge hit!The cabin was overall clean and comfortable, and the owner was very responsive and kind. We had a couple of minor maintenance issues during our stay, and he was quick to address them. He came to fix the downstairs sink within a day and was very understanding about the other items we brought to his attention from previous guests.A few things future guests may want to know: there isn't much outdoor lounge furniture beyond the chairs around the fire pit, and the cabin doesn't provide some basic kitchen/stay supplies we've found at other rentals, such as aluminum foil, Ziploc bags, marshmallow roasting sticks, or a scrub pad. We were just surprised since we've typically found these at other cabins, so plan accordingly.We also enjoyed having the option to rent the pontoon, which really added to our experience, although it did make the overall cost a little higher for our family.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! "We have been renting a place for our family reunion, now 30 people, for the past 15 years. We have never gone to the same place twice. Hillman house was so perfect for a large group that within the first two days we all said "This is the place. Let's sign up again for next time." Hillman house has a great lay out for a large group. It has lots of space for everyone to be together and for quiet conversations to catch up. Our stay was guaranteed with the Pickleball building. Even if it had rained all week we would have had a great time. The place is set up with our stay in mind with towels, shampoo, lotion all available so one could fly in and have an easy stay with just a carry on. Lily was wonderful! She is so easy to work with, always available and very helpful. I am so glad we found Hillman House and Lily."

"This was a great space for a large group of people. There was space for everyone to eat together or play games at the table. Lots of rooms and bathrooms for everyone. There are 2 docks for fishing or enjoying the lake view and a spacious yard with lots of outdoor seating and space to play lawn games. There was plenty of parking.Some of the beds were uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The large open living space is such an asset but can be loud for people who may be trying to nap or sleep in another room.Overall the pros outweighed any cons and we would definitely stay here again."
